hmm...

It should work if you go into the "file" menu and select "download" instead of using the "download" button.

Very nice tool here, but.. I found a mistake in your salary calculator.. Or I do not know something.. Those numbers suggest that increase in handling skill for a C decreases his salary, as the coeficient is less than 1.. The same with the IS for SG and BL for PG and SG.. I think that all coefficients in Coef Z2:AI6 must be higher or equal to 1..

Thanks. I'm glad you like the tool.

This aspect of the salary estimator is an odd duck. I agree, it would seem that the coefficients ought to all be ≥ 1. But wozzvt's analysis of the extensive data gathered suggested that there were these slight oddities that you observe. Rather than trying to adjust them to fit what I think ought to be the case, I'm inclined to let the analysis stand (just like with passing for bigs).

Yes, every once in a while it would seem like adding certain skills would make a player "cheaper." But we are talking minuscule increments on a blunt instrument. An example: my main trainee (PG) has the same salary whether I put his SB at 1 or at 23. And a 193k SG with 1SB swings down to 190k when you up his SB to 25 (SB on a SG being the coefficient furthest below 1). But that much change can also happen due to the random factors associated with salary changes at a new season.

As always, you are free to adapt this tool for your own use. What I think is valuable about it, though is that it is based entirely on wozzvt's data collection and analysis.

Perhaps in the next version, I'll change the salary rounding after a certain point to increments of $5000. That way people will understand better that this is most certainly an estimate. What do folks think about that idea?

The idea sounds very good. When it's too accurate, many people will think the program actually knows the salary that well.

Something wrong with "CAP" in "Traning Calculator" sheet.
In CAP explanation we can see: "CAP: When a player enters his training cap range (another mathematical representation potential) his CAP number turns red. Training will slow down in this range, which is not modeled by the simulator. A line through the number means the skill levels represented likely require a higher potential player."
But all values are RED and CROSSED !

Passing trains faster on taller players according to data
could be of course becuse most big guys start out with much lower levels
but the data is across the board, at any age

Sorry for the late answer, but I don't pay much attention to Global nowadays...anyway: Yes, bigs normally have lower levels of PA and majority also has good elastic effect from HA. My then-24y old and 216cm player has been popping in PA regularly every two weeks (he's 25 now).

Sorry for the delay in answering. I've been busy IRL lately.

Are you sure that you have entered the correct numerical value for potential for each player on the "Player Input" Sheet. (You have to do this manually if you're using the "SET YOUR LINEUP" option.)

If you're still having trouble, let me know and I'll look a little deeper into it. Thanks!

Version 2.6.S24 is available in preparation for the season roll-over.

New in this version: salary efficiency is now measured in "Skill Points per $1k Salary."
