It absolutely was a bait, but it is such common human nature to not do things three times in a row to avoid being "predictable" that it actually becomes quite predictable. For instance, if you're ever in rock/paper/scissors with someone and they do the same thing twice in a row, almost nobody does it a third time, so you can safely play the thing that would lose to it (if they had the courage to go three in a row).
Plus, LI is my best offence, part of me stopped caring a few seasons ago of trying to be unpredictable and just play what I do best and play to my strengths, and I've never had better results.
I'll probably try and build a more rounded and balanced team next time I try to compete, but for now it was mostly inside all the way (I wasn't to know they'd change the GE to help outside shooting, I'm glad they did but it didn't help me as much as others).
