and if we talk about character, really there was no athlete that was called GOAT and was a nice guy to hang around. MJ was a bad ass, kobe too, Pele and Maradona in football were the same. But no one was so disrespectful to his teammates or his team the way Lebron is.

Comparing Lebron to MJ is actually comparing apples with orange. They have nothing alike other than they where superior athletes compared to the competition. Saying that MJ or Kobe where respectful to there teammates are plain false too. Both are not known to be Dunkan like guys, not even close. I can bring several incidents to back up my opinion...

The most comparable player to MJ is Kobe (not saying that are equal just comparable). Both great competitors arrogant, amazing work ethic and most importantly killing instinct. Mentally tough since day one. Yes they both failed some times but not couz they scared, but couz they didnt know how. Both had the privilege to be coached from the best coach of the history (sorry Red, but you never manage those kind of ego's and be successful)

On Lebron now...I think that the best comparison for him is Magic or Oscar Robertson. He is 1st a distributor than a scorer. He doesnt have the ''go to'' move that the other great assassins had. Actually i believe that he is a victim of the NBA as organization to find the next global icon after MJ. NBA is a business 1st after all, the sport is coming 2nd. Thats 2 much load to curry someone...Especially if you are not mentally tough enough. Why not be Tim on his place even Dirk? well fundamental basket without flush doesnt sale jerseys on the ordinary fun.

What his faults now in my opinion? He is trying to work his JS and he did great improvements even if streaky, but thats what you want from the arguably most physically gifted player ever? given his size and skill set why not develop a low post game? much more efficient plus drawing fouls. All the greats have adapt by the time that there athleticism where fading away, and obviously Lebron with such a bulk that he gained during those years is not the athlete that once was. But again why do you need so much power if you dont post up?

Will Lebron win a ring? yes! eventually he will mature and will ''get it'' i bet that he will win more than one, but his legacy will always be hurt from soap opera of "The decision" while Dirk or Tim will always be remembered as the players that stayed loyal to there teams, and they made them champions. So in my books even if its very early to judge, comparing MJ to him is just an insult to his greatness

I really don't think Lebron is a point guard...I think if you had to compare him, I'm thinking Marquis Johnson, the original point forward. I think they had similar body types and skills although they played in different eras.

i though leBron is already quite good, to give other the chanche to the important shot ;) For me Wade is more the finisher in the late moments then him, and maybe also the reason why the conversion is a bit weird.
LeBron skillset is incredible, but maybe Wade has less tools then him he mastered his tool on a level that he isn't LeBron's Pippen but is on a level with Lebron. i think they somewhat had a Big two like Shaq suggest, with a great third Players with a Pippen function. But how could you argue, that LeBron is the best player played the game, when you even could debatte if he is the best player in his team.

he entered the nba at 21, he made adjustment, if everyone would want to know dominique wilkins was earning more money than jordan then. but as through the years jordan kept adjusting his game , keep improving himself. defense, hires specialist to improve his movement and his jump shot.

I am not sure, if this was just the reason because he still was so young in the league, or if MJ already was a "victim" of the Jordan effect. Yes jordan was Paid relative bad through his Bull time, because of the impact he had on the league. In fact he signed an enourmous, very long term contract with the bulls quite early in his career. But this enourmous contract get a "cheap" superstar contract through the extra attention and money he brings to the league.

But beeing an teammate of Jordan was never easy, there was incident like throwing ball in their face etc which aren't always motivating and pushing them to their max. I wouldn't make such a case for jordan is better then Lebron in that category. But i don#t think that LeBron is the right player to face Jordan in the Goat discussion, for me thats more the "oldschool" stars like Russel, Chamberlain and Magic.

i often think that basketball is a game of four quarters and wonder why so many expecting stars to make things alone in the last quarter while it is considered as working and maybe even more effective to share responsibilities in the first three. I mean hitting the basket is mostly the same then before, and maybe you have less time to adjust or react to the game in the last quarter but still 2 points a 2 points.

And yes i like to make fun of it too, but overall i wouldn't break on him because he didn't make every 2cd shot in the last quarter even when maybe some "highlight" basket always come in the fourth because you could consider them neckbreacking. For me it is more the credit he get in advanced and also his attitude to celebrate himself in advance, yes Miami would be a contender for many years but if it really appears to be a dynastie we will see in 5-10 years but then they should wait to celbrate 8 titles or a transfer who make then a contender not before they even won one title. i could easily imagine, that Thunder* and Bulls could beat Miami in mid and longterm regulary. You never should forget the Lakers, and maybe even Dallas had one in. And don't forget that a three stars system, with a bunch of role players is affected through injurys Dallas had the best season standing till Dirk get injured but Miami had 3 players who they couldn't afford to miss games and what happen if they start the playoff without one of them?

And to putting LeBron on a throne, also this discussion might be example i mean he was compared since he joined the league. And yes he appeared to be a great player, but did we really had to compare him to his Airness for me this comparision is still now a joke because he simply couldn't dominate the court that much.

* i wouldn't be that much surprised if maybe Durant would be considered at the stronger SF at the end of theirs careers then Lebron. I really like Durant game today, and he is still pretty young.
