As we head into the ASB lets take a look and listen to this weekends match ups.

It's a battle at the top of the table with the Clogs taking to the road to face Deronimo who actually is a dead ringer for this late wordsmith https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nB5VxPOoio

League officials are at the ready to take over the house of cards come Monday morning as Yeet is coming to town for the finale before the curtain falls. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSUIQgEVDM4

The Blasters and Peaks battle it out in a game without actually much relevance towards anything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Y1wm7CFRCQ

In a battle of chowds The claws are matched up against a Nasties squad that could be in a bit of a bad mood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYE1L2F5GW0

In their continuing efforts to keep pace with the top of the tables The bulldogs seek to send Chopsaki https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7MoZuP3JBo

The Lions are going to hard pressed to snap out of their recent slide with Hydro hitting the low country https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuLmcnyOGaU

And if that is the case, Sparty looks to slide one step closer to the final playoff spot in the Blue Lagoon though with the wave hitting their shores it could be... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHB6muY-6WI

and in closing your musical scribe seeks to make it a rare five in a row as the suddenly cash flush but talent bereft guns come calling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXE_n2q08Yw

We might make the playoffs by default as there are a couple fire sales below me.

Thought training minutes might be easier here, but it's just as problematic here as it was in D4

Lions weren't ready to lose 3 in a row and Spartans had some trouble with the Wave. Still comfortably in 4th and looking to make some moves going forward. Rik Smits showed he is perfectly capable of winning it all this year with a nice win away from home.

A excellent win for the young Lions, I think this shows just how deep this league is. But the teams at the top do have that little something extra.

My boys may be in 2nd but the Bulldogs really better pass the smell test,to be considered seriously would take something that I don't thing managements modest budget can accomplish. Now if I can find a deal, then I can find a deal, but I am happy with my little hodgepodge of has been's and never will be's.

The Wave could be a bit of a true wild card IF they make a move.

Reno comes back, and even puts someone on the TL, gets another win, and another injury. Good grief.

Yea, I expected an inept assist total considering our OD/Flow but that was borderline pitiful. I also thought my guys could hold their own better against your contested 3s and I thought I could score better inside against your guys. Wrong on both accounts, you have some real nice players there for certain.

Fortunately for me, contested threes are pretty much the entire thing these guys were trained for offensively. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I try to make them awful at everything else offensively, they still think that there's some sort of rule againt shooting more shots from outside than from inside the arc.

I did it, all in less than 30 minutes, yes sir I turned over the whole damn front office. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOLDxq7iYok

Advanced doc making 15 and change per week....out for a cheaper replacement at under 12k, with hardly any transfer fee (2k).

Competent Under assistant west coast promo man at 11k usurped by a superior level at 21k at a true minimum of bid cost, now I can keep the ticket prices up and hopefully see a real jump in merchandise,

And the coup de grace a superior 37k trainer to replace a advanced that was up to 16 for a transfer fee of only 16k. I thought real hard about making Pete Tanner the trainer, but held off as to put him in that slot was a 600k outlay with a weekly salary of 25k, figured this for the time being makes more sense, plus this tells me that office personnel are going to be available on the cheap from here on out unless they are a extraordinary value.

Obviously, the book is out on my team. Knock a couple starters out of the game and feast on the backups. Too bad there isn't a "Detroit Pistons" defense.

The Wave had the right vibe all night long, and even after the shenanigans of the third period it was not until about the final five minutes that the Wave having crested rolled into shore and the Generals were able to sprint back into the contest and slip out with the W. But The Generals nice little eclectic blend of has beens and never will be's probably have a wake up call Tuesday night with Clogs coming to town. A step up in weight class indeed,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gixuWS0bb3Q There is winning with panache, guile, skill, and then there is your opponent getting weird with his lineup and the numbers come down inn your favor. What I am trying to figure out, was that in essence a tank out, or was there a method to his madness that I was luckily set up to take advantage of? Oh, and in a typical BB twist I go one spot down the pecking order on aggregate.

I'm still not quite finished with my shotblocking training, and I certainly don't want to have that linger into next year, so I took the risk of running the patient and wasting a couple of outside shooters. But honestly, it wouldn't have mattered since my defense with switches is pretty much the same as it would have been otherwise and it wasn't nearly good enough.

Shot blocking is clutch, and you do have a game to burn, if not three. Of course the yearbook film will make it sound like it was moving heaven and Earth.
