My new purchase had level 6 GS but after I bought him, it became 5. Does this happen and is this normal?

Yes that was something they implemented a few seasons ago. All new purchases have their GS decline by 1-2 levels. This was in an effort to reduce the amount of players being bought right before big games in the tournaments to win.

Yeah finally lol ... honestly a bit disappointed with what he went for. The market values have plummeted greatly since the last time I bought players. I was planning to sell Turland as well but going to hold onto him for awhile longer. Too much sentimental value
