I just wanted to say that this is fantastic news and a great addition to the game. I know the developers get a lot of flack on the forums but this is just another example of their good work. I will probably buy Supporter after my next paycheck in part because of this.

Phenominal changes! I can't wait! I think my team will be even more dominant defensively as I can finally move my 6'6 point guard(highest OD on my team) to guard shooting guards! I can also move my undersized powerful to guard small forwards, and my big SF to guard the PF. I can't wait for next season.

And the "AND ONE!"s are always, good.

flair man, flair!

Point of order, why doesn't training follow the defensive role selected if a defensive skill has been chosen for training for that week? Is that particularly hard to code? Wouldn't it be more intuitive to match the training up, with offensive roles retained for 'neutral' skills like passing and rebounding?

I think with these changes, the game becomes more of a guessing game.
Example: "Is he going to play shooting guard as center offensively?"

Yes, it does allow better training regimens. But people are just going to mix it up every time, playing centres as small forwards, and guards as centers to catch you off guard.

Just my 2 cents. You guys may not agree. We will see how it works out.

I disagree with you and perhaps it is because I am a native English speaker. I do think it is possible to convey this squirky style (which is undoubtedly one of the things that drew me to the game in the first place) in Spanish or any other language. I mean, Faulkner has been translated into Spanish. Certainly BB-Charles or Mark or Forrest can be...

I htink the News should be written with the idea of keeping the aesthetic of the game. As it says in the rules:

While the rules have been translated by our wonderful language administrators, the only official versions of the BuzzerBeater Rules or Terms of Service are those written in American English.
I assume this to cover all language on the site.

For places like Thailand where there is no translator, the original English (or Amerkn if you prefer) iis used. Spanish users have the luxury of a dedicated translator. The vibe of the game shouldn't be tweaked to satisfy technicality. That's my belief anyway. And if anyone is unclear on a news item, they can ask for clarification in the global forum. Or, if they are uncomfortable with English, ask a GM to post for them.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Thank you for supporting my hypothesis:

I think News should be written for the whole BB community and not only for advanced english speaking users.

On the other hand, do you mean that Faulkner traslator to spanish just got a free copy of the book for their traslation?

Anyway, I don´t understand why clarity and the famous "squirky flare style" must be mutually excluding.
