first off in a thinking mans game like this one should expect a pretty consistent drop. Some sign up and forget about it completely or decide its just too intimidating. That was the case with me for the first couple of months or so I had a team, but I read up in the forums, figured out some rudimentary basics and in due time moved up the table. It did however try my patience.
There are more users than not who play this game very casually, they log in often enough to stay but are not enough into the game to become factors. That is on BB, one thing I have noticed is on the other basketball sims they do make contact with their patrons, but then again the other ones out there just pale by comparison. If BB would do a weekly newsletter or something along those lines then it would go a long way towards retention of newer members. Does a user get a email if they have not logged in for five financials to let them know their team is about to be defunct?
For that matter EVERYONE should hear from BB once in a while, a little newsletter or something to that effect would be nice. I know from reading some of your blogs there are some talented and entertaining writers on this site, give us your talents!
Also we need a good backstory... Canonization if you will. What is the "Buzzer Beater Universe" how did this come to be? Not talking about the literal story of how this site was started but a entertaining yarn allowing one to use the theater of the mind.
