I have the similar situation with you....It is very dangerous to me this season. i also haven't enough money. However, i will fight until be defeated. On the other hand, i think it is helpful to me, cause i will stay in the high lvl division for a season, meeting with the fierce competation, and realizes to own team's disparity. Fighting!!!

I was in the same boat when I promoted to D3. As someone wisely pointed out, you don't have to worry about competing in every game. Your goal should be to get to the relegation playoff with high enough enthusiasm to win it.

And hopefully you have a couple of guys you are training who will be much better by the end of the season.

i see no way to thrive at these higher levels initially. i hit div. 3 last season and consider an accomplishment to be there again this year. i figure i am (if lucky, plus good) 4,5 or 6 seasons away from moving on up. the complication for me is that i am not competing against a static target -- everybody else is training, hitting the TL, using sophisticated tactics, analyzing schedules -- david byrne once presented an image of highway travel: you are not going 65, because everyone else is going 65 -- you are going 3 or 4 mph faster than you competition (you hope) -- "the speed of business", he called it.

Hassan makes a good point. I think the teams that train well and get a good buy on the TL are the ones that come out on top. The key is to manage your money well so you can buy a good player on the TL when they are available, but sometimes it's just luck to find one that is under priced.

Just do your best. The worst that can happen is relegation. And if that happens you can use it as extra practice. Sometimes luck helps you out too. I've just been playing the game maybe 3 months now and already won a championship.

It's not because I'm good, it's because luck played a factor and I got a team that was already at the top of the standings. I just sold the players which I thought were dead weight brought in a few new players and voila a decent formula.

It should be interesting to play a whole season from the start with my own group. I'd rather be dead last starting from scratch than winning a trophy in which I didn't have anything to do with.
