Wilt Chamberlain is dead, but he's still listed as the record holder for most points in a game, and also the all-time athlete scoring record.

But on topic I agree with the original argument. Season highs would be much more relevent. I'd also like to extend the argument by saying it should not record Cup highs (as it does now) and if changes were made to show season highs rather than all-time records then it'd be nice to have season highs displayed on the country page. Currently in England our top point scorer ever is a retired player who was on $5k a week and made his record at the start of season 2. Who really benefits from knowing that? It'd be much nicer to see who had the highest scoring game this year because they're likely to be a player held by a team who hasn't retired.

Theres no reason why both season highs and all-time highs couldn't be displayed. But I'd hazzard a guess that for most leagues the current all-time highs are from retired players or players who left the league a long time ago and there's really no value to that information. Broadly speaking, of course.

He didn't - the point was that if the NBA used the proposed system, Kobe would be considered the record holder merely since he is active, and not Wilt, the real record holder.

Hm, it would have been nice to be let off these retarded non-existing veterans that made an exceptional score years ago against a team with miserable players telling you nothing about good or just play. I mean what kind of record is that? For all I know, the record might have been set in a match against any rotten bot team? Well, I see the problem. Some see any high score as a high score without care of in what occasion it was set. May be the idea that records of the season would make more sense as an amendment? It surely could be nice to let off these old retarded records, anyway . . . .

Right, but it wasn't Soel's point, it was CrazyEye's and Soel seemed to miss it entirely. That's why I asked him if he was serious.

Well, the record is most points in a game, not most points in an important game against a very good team as decided by overlord quality czar Unkel.

I like the idea of having a season's best list somewhere on the archived season final standings page.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
