most people use Look Inside (including myself), but I'm starting to experiment a little with Low Post. Will post when I see results myself ;)

Well seems like for me it is equally effective as Look Inside, maybe a little better. Obviously unlike Look Inside, Low Post puts most in use PF and SF, while Look Inside puts more on PF and C.

So, if you have a strong PF and SF, use Low Post. If you have a stronger C and PF, then use Look Inside.

In both cases the most important thing is to have a good Inside Shot, otherwise you will fail miserably.

That's the way I see it (at least from this match).

Then (22992338) happened, and this SG (3073286) went for 28 points on me in a look inside. He went bot two weeks later, so I got to see his skills. I was thinking that he had a good inside shot to put up that many points, but it was only inept (though that was vs. a pitiful ID defender). I don't remember his skills exactly, but they were along the lines of 9/8/9/?/10/? 4/?/?/?. The defender on him was a 9 OD guy, so no reason for him to go off except for the driving that I can see.

my SG scores also on LI inside, also like my guards with driving but without IS - the key are BigMen who dominates the paint that gives your guard open shots.

At least i don''t see the difference in my guards with IS or without it, with or without DR only the shooting ability makes a different but without the right c the shooting percentage goes down.

Any further insight on this?

I've always played LI to pretty good success but mixed it up in a big game, played LP, and came away with a big win. However, I also had lower team ratings.

My big men have 7+ HD and PS so are pretty good in that department, is it possible that LP could be better in certain situations? Maybe when your opponent is great at OD but quite poor ID? More passes taken on the inside?

I'd appreciate any thoughts ASAP! lol

I have made the experience that indeed, good passing favors slow tactics. And since that is true for all positions, aven PFs and Cs who don't contribute to the Offensive Flow rating, I'd agree that Low Post might be better for you in that case. That's particularly true against opponents with only one good insie defender - your covered player can simply pass the rock to his partner in the paint.

Great, thanks for the swift reply. I'll happily take the risk now.

Would you consider playing a PG at SF with LP as he will likely dish the ball instead of shooting, and therefore his IS is less important as in LI? - I'm just considering the need for extra OD and potentially playing a 3-2.
