I like the idea of Monkeybiz. Everyone can chose to use his free week of Supporter once in a career. It's not like the free one at the beginning when we don't know anything of BB. There, it will be a free choice by the player and he can clearly see difference with or without Supporter.

i think that would be fine, especially because i could imagine that new user get confused when their supporterships end and their favorites/jersey number etc. disappears

Well it makes sense if you could cumulate them. So after like 10 seasons there would be possible to play a private league. That is what makes sense to try in a first place

That would eliminate 10% of BB's Supporter revenue.

I think not, if you offer to paying supporters other kind of bonus. Even would be fine if supporters wouldnt get no extra weeks, but Im sure this could be worked out.

I just doesnt see the point in having supporter for a week, that is just ridiculous. I would not see even 1 pop to follow in training history.

I think this is a worthwile idea. There are so many great benefits to being a supporter like bookmarks, buddys, scoreboard, quotes, roster numbers, training history etc that it may well attract a lot of new supporters. They don't get the best feature which is the private league.

A week a season is way too much and would be a major disruption to revenue, but a one off "Christmas Present" might be something the BBs could consider, but they also have to weigh up losing one weeks supporter from everyone who already has it against how many new supporters they would get. I have no idea at all how many supporters there are but if there are 60K players there may be 3k of supporters. It costs about $1 a week to be a supporter so it would cost $3,000 for this promotion. That means they would need a lot of people to switch from non-supporter to supporter to make it even worthwile.

I guess one possibility would be to not give the current supporters a free week, only give that to non-supporters. Instead give current supporters some other non-advantageous cosmetic only benefit like the ability to rename a player or their next draft pick, to be invited into a special supporter worldwide pl style cup or perhaps being able to give an "accessory" (headband, goggles, facemask, tattoo, mohawk, pink hair etc) to one of their players.

Indeed, however does make sense to me to give such a thing only for a long-term supporters (it sounds symetric if you compare that to long-term non-supporters). If you are very stable customer for like 5+ season, you might get any thing you mentioned. I would take @buzzerbeater email.
