1. Don't CT every 3rd game, however definitely TIE as much as possible including nearly all of your road games. Being at home is really big in this game... buy a PR guy with the Crowd Involvement specialty and try to pick up as many winnable home games as possible.

2. Don't spend all of your ~$2M on one guy... buy 2-3 20-25k players if possible. You have the best team in your league but your IV league is extremely weak relative to most other IVs and is obviously far behind every III in terms of talent. I've seen example after example of good depth beating 1 unbelievable player so I'd spread your resources around as much as you can.

3. Good arena upgrade... I might build a couple more seats if you do promote though.

There are several problems here:

1. Never assume you are going to promote. Plenty of teams save money all season just to buy players a week before playoffs and get a huge boost in player skill

2. Never assume cup income is given. Whats to say you aren't matched against a division 1 team in your first round? Treat cup income as a bonus rather than an expected norm.

3. 6 wins might do it for some leagues while 2 wins might do it in another. Its hard to say. There is variation even between D3 leagues in terms of how competitive it is. You wouldn't know how tough the league is until you actually make it there cause if you promote you could end up in one of the 16 D3 leagues.

4. You need to scout your opponents once you make it to your league. Assuming a TIE, TIE, CT pattern simply won't cut it. Your enthusiasm will not recover in time. A lot also depends on the schedule of when you are facing your opponents. Its fine to TIE against a top team but it would be foolish to TIE when you have 2 beatable opponents in a given week.

With all that said, its good to have a plan but budgetting for something like this can only happen when a new season is upon you. Your plan is full of contingencies where it would all be pointless if you don't even promote in the first place. Focus on promotion first. Then worry about staying alive once you're there.

Okay here is a few ideas
1. confirm if there is anyone becoming bot, then you don't have to worry automatic regulation
2. know your power and your opponent's before u decide weather u really want to be seeded
3. worry about TV, rival, cup, RL and schedule before u decide about enthusiasm because money is always more important
4. coach and player development
5. lottery

I think that away games are more important because if you win them then fans will show up at your next game, which will be at home.

Being at home gives your team an on-court bonus. Winning away give your team a higher attendance at home the next game.

I dont know if the math works for this. When you first start your Enthusiasm will be at 5. So you play TIE 2 gamse and your ent would go 5x1.3=6.5 x 1.3 = 8.45 And then you CT and your ent is halved = 4.225
I haven't taken into consideration that sinks in between matches. By next week it will be down to 3.5 after the same schedule. Week after that 3.0 aso aso.
Your team will start to play worse and worse for every week that goes by
The idea is good but you would probably need to think it over again before your there.

I understood it should go up back to 5. So 4.225 would be like 4.85 the next day and so on..

You are right, whenever your enthusiasm is below 5 after a game, it will increase between matches trying to get back up to 5. However, the calculations done were correct and I don't know how quickly enth. rises when is below 5 so maybe you could face some matches with less enth. than 5 and therefore, finally face some games where you want to go CT with less accumulated enth. than you expected.

Once I had ent 6 and it stayed at 6 for a week. If it raises from 4 to 5 at same rate as it drops from 6 to 5 than that 4.225 will be more like 4.235 next day.

The rise will be a lot more than that, but your overall point is correct.

This is true, and if you had to choose, obviously you'd choose to win the away games. That being said, OP is describing a situation where he's expecting to be wayyy outmanned in terms of on the court talent and if that's the case then he probably shouldnt be wasting resources trying to win away games.

Actually he was describing a situation wherein he hoped to finish with between 6 and 9 wins, which doesn't sound wayyy outmatched to me. I think he should be trying to make as much money as he can by winning the winnable away games, because in order to eventually compete in his new division he is going to need cash to buy better players.
