i agree that m2m did a very good job and i dont think that 2-3 will work.the problem is at your offence clearly and no at the defence.the def allows around 80-85 points.thats a very good number, but u must score also.

Use the 2-3 zone. Sometimes...it works.

.....
Otherwise LI and even LP can be unstoppable.
Check the Suggestions they are important

Yes it is, that why in a lot of cases 2-3 is not the best defense and M2M is.

I have a similar problem - my league is populated by high salary C's and PF's with LI as the tactic of choice for most.
I mostly tried inside box and 1 with mixed success - my main problem was foul trouble

I found out if you lets your guards run n gun you can beat look inside. but you have to have good passing gaurd and good stamina. speed gaurds. His team will get tired tired and look insde wont work. also shooting from the outside will help, its not much as def vs def. Your going to have run them off the floor with your offense and pick a defense that made for rebounding and passing to the pg. sg.sf, and llet rain or drive on them all night getting to the Ft line with the pg sg na sf. You will get those big men out of the game from foul trouble or tired.
Make sure you play Sf who can reb and shoot the 3 ,, he is a deal breaker for beating the look inside. i have game where a guy played me look inside and my sf rained on them for 33 pts 8 rebs. 4 ast.

:)
we are talking about C playing SF with at least IS17, REB13,OD7
the SF u mention need ID14, REB10, JR10, which is costly and uncommon, and still under major disadvantage
rng is the very wrong way to do it, because
1. pace increase will open up ur def, for opponent early post up
2. pace increase > ur team will not concentrate on attacking with ur SF
3. pace increase > more possessions > more reb > advantage goes to the team with more big guys
4. more possessions > more chance for ur SF to foul out
PS. ur opponent doesn't necessary have low stamina :)

well look at my team i dont super man as the sf. He is the league leading scorer my sg is better. I know im in lower league and things are much different inthe upper brackets. But I hve yet to lose to inside shooting when do this tatic..
This is just from my experience. I was saying dont try to play defense try to out shoot them and foul them out .
3. that not 100% true. if your guys are making the shots then it less possesion for the other team. If your sf a solid reb and he can shoot he long ball like mines can it may work for you. You don't thave stop every big man but you can foul them out swhich is the point i was trying to make. Most big mean dont have the stamina to keep up in a fast pace game, also with your sg and sf with good rebounding. it harder for the othjer team to get rebs and that more chance of them fouling out or getting tired inthe game.
I understand my advice is nothe golden ticket to success but its working for me. I just thought id lend some advice from my exp vs the tatic.
Thanks for the replie

I am personally a fan of 2:3, for 2:3 its important that your Pf+Sf can defend outside too, cause if they cant you might be destroyed with 3´s.
In the offense I use patient. You need a balanced Sf, good os-shooting+id, or a Pf with good Jr and Js. Then his C playing at Sf won´t have a chance to defend against his os.

Would anyone have a general opinion on using the box defenses (inside & outside) against a LI offense?
