Can we get a group discount? Another 36 minute game for one of my trainees. It's a blowout and he's worse than the sub. The goal is not to run up the score further.

I've had this problem in the past, though not as much recently just because I can march my trainees into league games at this point. My solution was basically just to minimize how much the coach can screw up by putting as few players as possible in. From a quick look at your roster and weekly minutes, it looks like most of the guys in that game could've stayed in longer or are terrible. In the future if you're going to blow out your opponent, I'd take Lind, Blackmon and Favaretto out of the lineup entirely and plan on trotting Ocampo, Castrofeito, Khoi and Bodine out for all 48 minutes. For game shape purposes, maybe rotate Ovaska and Titus at the SG spot, but if you run 6 deep, I think A) you can target 70 game minutes per week for your better players and B) not have to worry about getting your worthwhile trainees subbed out at the last minute.

I hope that makes sense. It's worked for me in the past, but again, its your team.

Hey man, I appreciate the training tips. It was a fluke for whatever reason, lol. I have to figure something out, that's for sure. Matthew Craven is kind of screwing up his training this season as he's fouled out twice this season. I put Ocampo in, as he's my primary trainee, as a the full 48-minute starter for the last game of the training week. I should have just gotten him his minutes early on so as not to worry about falling short. I put too much emphasis on trying to win two league games that I have no business winning when you compare my roster to that of the rest of the teams in my league. If it were not for the two or three teams that are weaker than me, my Goats are relegation material. With my focus being on training as it is, I failed to do my part in maintaining my priorties of 1. Ocampo, 2. Craven, 3. Radeka, 4. Wiles.

This week, I'm putting Ocampo in as the starter for the 2nd game, letting Craven come off the bench. Then, depending on what Ocampo needs, he might start again for the cup matchup.
