Well... if you want to get out of paying players because they are injured... I think then the salaries would have to switch from weekly, to seasonal. Then, if you get players at such times etc, = % of seasonal salaries etc. And because of the players' union you can't just not pay them those weeks, but maybe they get paid a decreased amount that week...

Anyways I slice it, it should be a suggestion, and would involve massive reprogramming.

Edit: here's another thought - instead of not paying injured players their salaries; how about they improve their game shape during their time off? There's nothing worst than having a player out for weeks, and then when they're able to play, their game shape is at mediocre or inept.

That's not realistic...

In real life, when you are injured, you can't workout, can't practice, sometimes can't even partake in warm-ups and stretching.

You basically "come off the couch". By your logic on that... Carson Palmer should have owned the NFL last season. Or NBA wise, Greg ODen would have the best Gameshape of any player ever, except for maybe Yao Ming.

Yeah, those are bad examples though. Those are season/career ending injuries. No coming back from that. I was just throwing something out there. I've seen athletes come back from injuries and dominate.. Heck, Kobe played with a broken finger; MJ played with the FLU.

Andre Miller played with a seperated shoulder.
LeBron James sat out games with sprained fingers in Cleveland.

the levels vary, but in gist you get what I am saying yes?

I was hating on LeBron before it was cool. You know how annoying it was watching the Cavs, intentionally trade a Young, very good playing, Andre Miller away, INTENTIONALLY to the only other crappy team, just to try and win the LeBron sweepstakes?

If we hadn't... we could have still gotten Melo, or Wade, or Some other star guy, and KEPT Andre Miller.

That said, Andre Miller never ran star players or even above average players out of the team because they "stole his stats"... So Miller, other guy, Boozer, Ricky Davis

thats a solid 4, playing together.

But yeah, 10 seasons in the league. "The best who ever played basketball" There's a reason he doesn't have a ring.

I think the key is not to stress too much about whether you get promoted or not, and just concentrate on doing the best you can with what the game throws at you. It's not a fair game, anyway, and injuries aren't the worst of it. It's about doing the best you can with the challenges you face.

Yea I agree, I never did like his *everybody hates me wahwah* attitude(case in point last years finals) the whole grocery store thing was epic, haha, but in order for the heat to win they need to grow up and not let one or two losses ruin them, and also get a bench.as far as your cavs go kyre is the future and hopefully you can keep him,btw I'm a die-hard Bucks fan.

Are you checking career stats to see if the players are playing every game or are "injury prone"

I do that with guys on TL. rookies, impossible to predict though
