It is'nt just about statistics since the player who inspired me this thhread is the leading scorer of my league, with some pretty good games though.

I agree... I'd rather have a two league games this week and get the season over quicker. This ASG fiasco is a little ridiculous.

ASG has nothing to do with the number of league games.

The "break" is necessary because the larger countries need the extra round to be able to finish their cup in time.

Take out the bot teams then... or at least the entire DVI teams and that is solved.

Last year I didn't have any players in all-star game, despite having a few different guys, who split time with one another, and both averaged a dbl dbl in 28ish mins a game.

This year, re-hauled team, drastic different approach had 2 guys make it. 1 is league's leading scorer and 3pt shooter, despite not playing a chunk of the season since I acquired after season started. Other is a guy who'd been the #1 guy until said guy before showed up to team.

Since theres no merchandising bonus, or any benefit of having a player in the all-star game... I don't really get bothered by voted in or not.

I think of real life, where people get voted in, whom don't deserve/earn it at all. Because they are "popular" among fans or "used" to be amazing. Seems to me if we were going to go through all the effort to make it reallly reflect who have been the best players etc. Then that would be better spent on like, MVP, or other awards, rather than a meaningless all-star game.
