the main problem with BB is that it is not developing. Tanking is a big issue and should have been taken care of already.

Three more issues - the list is longer, but these are the most important to me, in addition to tanking:

Economy Players' salaries are too high compared to their values (mainly in the 50-100k salary range). Training has lost importance and so has medium/long term planning.

5th position Since the change, there is more often than not a battle to end up fifth rather than fourth or third. Here the solution would be so simple. Half salary paid to players in the two following weeks instead of no salary at all (or, pay no salary, but get no tv contract nor merchandising neither).

Game engine hasn't been chanced since ages, and won't be for as long. Only 2 or 3 tactics do work and still some tweaks are needed. Just an example, down by 9 with 2 sec to play, your players are still going to foul at 0 sec to catch up.

I think having a Coach that just improves a type of offense or defense would be effective and adjust the increase by there grade with world-renown getting a higher increase, just like in the current staff system.

So a coach could be offense minded or defense minded and have a favored system they run. This would also help the whole "everyone has to run LI to be successful" syndrome, since there will only be so many LI coaches available. And who knows, maybe a 2-3 coach could teach us how to run it effectively.

Slightly unrelated... if I were to redo the training system I would keep the current system and have it be half as effective and I'd have the other half of all players increase in the prime of the careers train their stats to a variable related to their starting value, where respectable would train very quickly and decrease the lower they start out. I would start this training at varied times in different players careers, since all players don't begin to blossom at the same time but would lean toward starting in their first 3 seasons but their could be late bloomers in the late 20s.

My problem is that there is not a trading system it should be trades with negotiation rather than bidding which is stupid.

I see where your going. COaches can add some ID,OD,Js,JR,ID, and free throw to your players.

Defensive Specialist
Fast Break (Offense, Fast paced) COaches
All-Around

That what i would think. The stats go to a random stat (Of the respected coaching area).

Lets start a player like this (Offense coach)

JS9
JR8
OD13
HA12
PA:11
DR12
IS11
ID14
RB:8
SB8

There is a defensive minded player that can play all positions. If you have an offensive minded coach, you get a boost in Princton, RnG, Motion, And other Fast paced/Outside oriented offenses as well on each of your players ,+1 in a random Offense stat.

Level 1= +1 in random offense stat
Level 2= +1 in two random stat (That can be the same stat)
Level 3=+2 in two random stats
Level 4= +2 in three random stats
Level 5= +3 in three random stats.

IT would be a big help, I made this off of my mind, so I might be wrong.

summer must be near over cause look

2747

thats the number of signees, either someone advertised or...........it really grew! too bad only like 200 of em stay permanently.....haha hope for some luck!

Looks like summer is over, hopefully if we can get over 50k then that shows progress and hopefully the BB Gods can develop something at the same time, to make the base spike. we're at 45k.....looks like we're increasing 200 signups a weeks now (maybe it's cause of Olympic bball, or seriously summer is over)so hope if we keep up at this, then, we'll go back to the normal 3500 signups in about 5 weeks time, and hopefully decrease the amount leaving too,, and grow to 50k. Cause if by October/November we still see 45k or below that, then there will be problems......especially if we hit the 30s...........which at the rate we were dropping, were going to get there by at least 3 months....>:(. yeah we're growing, at least thats signs people like BB, I even got a friend of mine from another sim to join here........

It's easy, but challenging also.

How can something be easy and challenging at the same time?

I agree it looks easy at first and it is, if you don't have higher goals. But if you dive into it and eventually want to be side by side with the best, it's quite challenging.

The thing I dislike the most is you need a really long time to develop a team for D.I. This probably turns away a lot of people. I mean, I like the planning and all and lenghth of the game doesn't bother me, but it probably bothers casual crowd. To be fair, I don't know what could BBs do about it. If you're in D.V or D.IV and can't get out fast enough, you can at least focus on training U21 or NT players so you don't get bored.

Maybe BBs should think of another feature or two that can entertain managers from lower countries while chasing that promotion and building the team.

how many casual games can one play before one wants to play something strategic? ;-)

Before someone is faced with tough strategic choices in BB, he has to make a long way first. Not all of those last that long.

You can succeed in BB with either training (takes a long time) or daytrading (takes a long time). In my 8 seasons of playing, I had maybe 10 really important games that were challenging. Many others were blowouts - either losses or wins. If it wasn't for training U21/NT players and being U21 manager, I don't know if I'd be here now - and I'm a big fan. Think of "casual crowd" - how can you entertain them to not lose interest after 1-2 seasons?

Well, You feel like your beating teh game easily, while really, it's challenging. I won my last four game this season and two of them should have been losses. Your right about training. DO it while you can.

pps: the other games tough mentioned are so much worse.

I only play basketsim cause I can get some people to play BB ;) and I have a U-NT player actually, and that it's easy to spend cash, otherwise I hate it.

and I only play charazy cause of a frineds respect (a guy from school and my league mate plays it too, otherwise if I didn't get help from anyone, I'd be long gone from charazy, cause I've lost every single game except 1 forfeit, which is sad, BB blows away competition.............
