I'll admit that I made a mistake in not noticing that the draft deadline had been changed, but I still think it's stupid of them to have put it forward a day when some people, myself included, may have been planning to get some last minute scouting done after the financial update.

While past seasons may have been slower in closing down scouting, there's not a whole lot of ambiguity in: Draft order must be submitted before 8/19/2012.

Sorry I know that must be VERY annoying, even brutal but it was more the season that they messed up the last couple of seasons, they admitted it was a mistake and have fixed it up so it is working properly this season. It was said very clearly finalise your scouting before Sunday but I'll be a lot of people did get caught.

Yet another win for people like me that spent $0!

You made 2 mistakes. You missed the news update which told people when the deadline was (and it was the exact same last season too btw) but worst of all, you waited until the very last minute to do your scouting. Why would you do that?

It's also always said the date on the "manage my team" page and I think it also said the date on the scouting page as well. It's just this season the enforcement of 'before" is actually working.

I've already said that I've done my scouting and set my draft order already so don't treat me like a fool. I'm just saying that it's *expletive* annoying that I expect to be able to use the points from this weeks financial update in a last minute interview or two and then suddenly BB are like "We putting the draft deadline forward a day trollface.jpg"

Good point. It's right there in black and white on a page you see every day that you check in:

Draft order must be submitted before 8/19/2012

Every season you see somebody on the forums complaining that they didn't get their scouting done on time so this won't be the last time

There has been no change at all to the system. For some seasons now, points of this week can only be spent in the next draft, so it's not something new. The only change is that besides in the MMT page and in threads in help forums, this time it was warned in the news as well (Seems that it's still not enough)
The draft deadline was not forwarded, the last points you could have used were the ones invested on 13th, the same if the list were avaliable yesterday or today as it finally was.
