I don´t think Suggestions fall "on deaf ears" by itself - and I´m pretty sure that´s not what GM-Perpete wanted to say. The overall "sense" for features, need for improvement etc. is more or less directed towards making the game more stable and less influencal to ... let me call it ... Guerilla Strategies. If there´s a fast way to get to huge loads of money without gaining at least a solid understanding of how the game and the engine and so on work (like there was with tanking, 5th place finishing, selling your whole roster mid-season or at the start of the season only to buy key players at playoffs start and either keep the league or even win promotion) there´s a huge community wide ... consense? that those strategies are unwanted and ruin the fun.

With that overall direction the community has taken, your suggestion, going more towards empowering those fast-earning strategies than putting additional limitations on them, is simply moving against the big majority of expressed feelings, and that is what´s meant by Perpete by "falling on deaf ears". Nevertheless, Suggestions is not a popularity contest, they are viewed, listened to, and followed. Whether they are implemented or not or for whatever reasons remains a great secret though until it´s done. Still worth discussing things though.

Ive been looking at the 'trading' part of the game this season - not actually actively participating but just investigating.

I think the trading part of the game is a very interesting, but also very difficult part of the game. What you suggest would make it easier, but then again, i like the challange. If it was too easy, then everyone would do it, and it would be near on impossible to 'day-trade'... ther wouldnt be any bargains!

Are you able to provide some stats on what % ur sale price goes down to? The lowest ive seen mine go down to is 83% which i think is the norm. If it indeed does drop to 60% or even 70% then can you match 'number of sales from the team' to what % it drops to? im very curious to know about this.
If its a small number of sales - like, 10 transfers in half a season = 20% drop - then i agree, it should be this high.

Personally i like the 'must keep for one week' rule.

I also thought that maybe this time by bringing a point of concern up civilly would help me be heard more than others that ive seen fall on deaf ears in the past.

The BB team reads every thread in the Suggestions forum. They however do not respond to every proposal regardless of whether said suggestion ends up implemented or not.

"You have sold 11 players in the past 14 weeks."

Just bought a player and he is sitting on 78%

It a bit tricky. You raise a good point. It is strange that more active teams are being punished as the game should push for more active teams...

Having said that, making life easier on the transfer market will have massive effect on the game. Users will be able to switch their entire roster several times a season, sometimes even buy players for one game and then enjoy a sale for the same amount give or take without losing anything.

That's not a game I would enjoy playing...

I think this deduction is faulty. I'm not necessarily sure I'd even agree with the word punishing, but for the purposes of discussion I won't argue that. But they're not punishing "active" teams - they're punishing teams that sell a lot of players. If you log in once a week, buy a lot of players and sell a lot of players, you get hit just as hard as the guy who's on 12 hours a day, 7 days a week who sells the same number of players. But for people who are active and rarely sell players, there's no punishment at all.

I personally prefer the game to not reward those who treat the players as virtual commodities to be bought and sold for slight financial gain and multiplied by volume. First, of course, this is not how a real sporting club operates, but realism is a pointless reason for any game design decision - more importantly, there's simply no game balance reasoning to encourage people to go speculating on the transfer market rather than encouraging players to build teams intelligently and soberly with more than next week's match in mind.

Aside from OP posting etiquette issues... My take is leave as is. The %s make for a challenge, encourage training, and reduce douchebag factors 100fold. Otherwise we'd have way more farm teams and multi accounts just to bounce players around for game by game basis.

If you removed % off of trades, than trading players would be the best way to become a good team, since training would be far less profitable. To be good at trades, you need to spend a lot of time in front of your computer, which means people with lots of free time would dominate. Consequentally, a lot of people who have a job and/or a family would leave this game, myself included. So I don't like this suggestion.
