I think defensive stats would be a great thing to add. If all of those stats would lead to bugs, how about just splitting out a player's game rating to an Offensive Rating and a Defensive Rating? Especially as you plan your game day matchups, it would be interesting to look back at an opposing player's previous games to see if their strong rating is due to their offense more, their defense more, or a strong balance of both.
