A cold opening montage of players from various squads entering the buildings or the playing floor.

Cue: https://youtu.be/0_t55mbHFps

Announcer: opening night, a time of renewal, a time of hope, a time to dream of championship glory. But in three minths time only one will realize that dream. But for all the chase starts fresh and anew this evening.

Over in club red

Wadsworth will test their mettle right off the bat as defending confernce champion kitties come calling

The daggers will get to stick it in all the way with a trip to face a masters club which was a pleasant surprise in their maiden season.

Round 2 will continue their quest to climb the promotion ranks starting with a trip to face spike fierce who catapulted to d2 by winning this league back in season 31.

And in the only great 8 contest between returning teams cavs and blizzards will battle in a game which could be a pretense to where each will be heading this go around.

While over in the blues. ..

Cal returns after a short trip to the promised land as opening night will see them squaring off against a Generals team that could be in transition this go around.

The stormz will be looking to fill the lake.

The pistons are the chic preseason pick to bring it all home but they could have their hands full with the bunnies who have shown steady improvement in their first two seasons here in the slaughterhouse.

And the Ottoman Empire of the league Deronimo will once again take their best shot at finally promoting though they do get a difficult opener with a trip to face a spiders club eagar to make their bones.

From the start there are always moves afoot and our transfer ticker will get you up to date. Plus its another edition of vox populi where you the fans will fill us in on what you see happening in the season ahead. And of course Sybil will be here to give us her psychic prognosis. So stick and stay, its time to play as its the opening edition of BB2NIGHT

I was quietly hoping I would demote back into III.5. You all were a fun bunch.

did anyone get anything worth keeping in the draft by the way

My Kitties actually had their best draft ever, with two nice pick-ups. Went to sell one of them, for some much needed cash, given the salary jump my other players got. Was expecting a nice chunk of change from the sale (after the expected bidding war), but got no takers - enough though he was priced to sell initially.

Sigh.

I got one guy in Lombardo who might habe a future, though he is way too close to Strong in terms of his build. But he has 63 tsp so there is potential there.

Little bit of a catch 22 for management this season. Taylor and Strong both still have upside but neither is quite there. Skinner, McClain,Webb, and Armstread are what they are. While what Clement and Arbureta are is old. Last night was a harbinger of times to come. But we did fight valiantly though i was a little miffed that Strong of all players tried to be the hero.

Another great Generals-Bulldogs matchup. If Strong had hit that final shot it would have been a great comeback.
