From a personal level, one of the things I love about this game is I don’t HAVE to get on every day (I typically do, but I don’t have to). The slower nature of the game is actually a benefit I think.

I think what kills the game is the two game weeks. Having a game on Saturday and the next one is on Thursday, that should never happen. The good and entertaining game should try and get the users to log on daily and having that big of a gap between games in dangerous. ALSO, The teams still alive in the cup and playoffs are getting a MONEY bonus plus a TRAINING bonus.(three game week) To me, that isn't fair and probably leads to people just not logging on again.
And this past season was the first time I hadn't logged in for 4 days, I was almost done but my brother called me and told me to set my line up for our scrimmage.
My conclusion is......fix the two game weeks before shorting the season.

One of the great things in this game is the sense of ANTICIPATION before an important game.
First, three days are left for the game, then two days, then one day ... then it is GAME DAY!

During those three days you search the previous games of the opponent, change the strategy several times, check if there is any mistake in the lineup, change it completely once more ...

Why do you want to kill the thrill?

I don't know if you had a team before than this one, but in the case it's your first, you will see that with time you won't need 3 days to prepare a match, sometimes too much time to prepare one might create too many questions and prepare a wrong lineup or strategy than as you think at the beginning. One more game a week could be a good choice

It depends on how much you know about the game, and how much information about your rival you can get. The more data, the more time you need to get to the optimal lineup. If you know nothing, you can let the default lineup and you spend no time.

Anyway, I am not saying that you need three days, I am saying that you enjoy those three days.
