Yes, there is always a reason to do it. I'm the U-21 manager of a micro nation(I won the vote with only 3 votes), now I could see a good reason if the player was an injured player of a local manager who voted for me. And I always keep the reserve spots open for the big poppers and players of managers who train what I ask to be trained. But in all my years, I have never put an injured player in the reserve spot. I usually carry 16 players, 10 play, 2 reserves, and usually 4 bad GS guys. IMO, why leave a healthy player off the team for an injured player? And wouldn't that look like I was showing favoritism to the manager of the hurt player?
