Here's a question then:

The training system takes in consideration the whole week and the minutes played at the trained position during the days. But if I change my training during the week, what happens to the minutes trained so far?


just like in hattrick the training you set right before the trainingsupdate will be the one that is going to happen. You can change the whole week to whatsoever, if you put IS as training before the update happens, then Is it will be and nothing else.

BB is gullible. It thinks you trained whatever your setting is at the time of the training update on Friday. All that happens during the games is to record the number of minutes played at each position. The game engine does not check what you are training.

Clearly, it makes sense for you to decide your training at the start of the week, and to use lineups that will maximize your training benefit. But things can go wrong. You can be training C, but one center can get injured after 6 minutes. He will still get training for those 6 minutes even if he is injured at the time of the training update, but 6 minutes might only get 5% of what 48 minutes would give. So later in the week you might decide to switch to some other training which will be more effective.

Don't wanna start a new topic and I think this just might fit in this thread:

Is there any limit on how high you can train stamina? At least there weren't any players over prominent stamina on TL.

Thanks. Would be good if that was mentioned in the rules, I'd say. And also that proficient is the cap on game shape(?).

A noob question:

When setting training, i am assuming that the broader you make the training, the less effective the training will be...

example: jump shot for the entire team would not have the same affect as inside scoring for F/Pf/C

Correct?

Also... is there anything else to training besides setting what type of training you would like, and the positiions you wish to be trained?

I have a level ten trainer on my new team... I'm hoping that his level will compensate for the broader training I am distributing.

Any help would be appreciated.

The more intensified your training is (the fewer positions trained), the greater the impact you will have on the trained players. Additionally, consider a players AGE and played minutes (if not doing team training). Players 18 - 20 seem to advance the fastest, 21-23 a tad bit slower. The older the player, the slower their advancement will happen.

To maximize your training, you want to get your played minutes a week over 48 and less than 90 for a player. Under training or over-training your player is not optimal, and the current speculation is that dropoff of benefit is NOT linear, but rather on a bell curve. Meaning, if your PG plays 45 minutes, he will not gain the benefit of 93.75% of the training, but more like 75%. Again, that is speculation based on information gleaned from the forums.

There are some skills which are also 'tied' to the height of a player. For example, a taller player will advance faster in rebounding than a shorter player. While this advancement is faster, remember two players of STRONG rating will rebound the same, regardless of height.

Your level 10 trainer will provide the BEST training possible for the method you are using.
