Yes, i don't see any point to give 40k for draft then you getting such players, it's better to save that money about 400-500k in season and bought player which skills you see...

I had the last pick in each round this year and I spent 40k/week on scouting. I managed to get one perennial all-star and one all-star potential, both of whom play positions I train. I think that the revenue they will bring in after half a season of training will pay for their scouting costs and then some, especially the perennial all-star who looks like a baller.

People are getting needlessly scared by what they perceive as low potential. The fact is that NT players with all-star potential have wages of $30,000-$40,000 and are still below the cap. This means that most teams can easily train a starter-star player for at least a couple of season without any problems.
