I really like the height not being a factor. Think Charles Barkley when he finished. He was a 6'4" PF. One of the best rebounders going around. If I wanted to I could train a Barkley.
I have also played bball against a 6'10" who I out rebounded. I am sub 6'0". Basically at the low levels of sport in the real world some people have more skill than others at boxing out/rebounding. If I was to train with this 6'10" guy to play pro ball he would end up a better rebounder due to height and just like the game. Taller trains up quicker in inside skills.
I like to think of the bottom divisions as scratch basketball. It is just a bunch of guys who turned up for a game and the guy that can rebound plays in the paint and the guy that can shoot from outside does that.
Just my opinion.
