I'm seeing this as an opportunity to play Playoff Normal at home to take my enthusiasm from 9 to 11, am I wrong?

Na, you're better off going for it with HCA rather then getting a couple more enthusiasm points and having to overcome HCA in the 3rd game.

Unless you really want to risk it for the extra games attendance money, better to take advantage of HCA, which is big in BB.

Also thinking about totally changing my offense from R&G or Motion to LI or Base

You did pretty good with the RNG today with your PG and SG having big games. Motion is similar just slower paced from RNG. I dunno, this was a good win and if all stays the same, but with HCA, you're in good shape for game 2.

If it ain't broke..

I am saddened by my 20k per week and I don't know the age of the kids I've scouted.

I'd sure love it if someone could direct me on what to do. Seems that blind luck and no investment is the way to go

Well blind luck still plays a huge role in my opinion but as you get into higher and higher divisions the rookies have no chance of cracking the roster so its only worth drafting them to sell them. In the 3rd, 4th and 5th divisions these are still players you can start and develop easily so they are worth a little more in my opinion. I don't think no investment is the best for someone like you or me, but $20K might have bee too much.

If you're going to finish near the top of your league, I recommend sending less on scouting.

Less than what though? I spend $10K and finish near the top season after season. I scout enough prospects where I have a good chance to get someone who will stick on the roster that I can train and won't hold me back in my league.

I'd say this is a good guide IMO
Good D.I - $0
Bad D.I - $5K
Good D.II - $5K
Bad D.II - $10K
Good D.III - $10K
Bad D.III - $20K
Good D.IV - $20K
Bad D.IV - $20K

I can't really see a good reason to spend $40K. Just my opinion though.

So my opponent for the championship out smarted me.

He ran with 1-3-1 defense to counteract my stronger outside defense and then he ran run & gun offense which didn't play to his strength, rather he played my defensive set up in our last two match ups.

We have both CT'd both games. I thinK I have a slight enthusiasm advantage but that's just a hunch.

So now I need to figure out whether to gamble that he's going to revert back to his strength for this game or that he's going to try and stick with the run and gun since it was successful.

Is man to man a "safe" defensive formation? Do I cover all my bases by going man to man?
