Um, what exactly has been resolved?

There has been literally no communication today about this colossal screw-up, and it's not even like this is an isolated incident! It's the first time games in the US have been affected, but this has been a recurring theme over the past couple weeks worldwide, with a history of problems dating back further. It would be nice to hear what exactly caused the problem and what steps are being taken to ensure it won't happen again, but there has been absolutely no BB presence here today that I've seen.

I may be wrong, but weren't two knew BB's added fairly recently for the expressed purpose of improving communication? I could point to the news item as a reference, but old news posts aren't archived. Go figure.

I might be able to understand these issues if the userbase had suddenly jumped 50 percent, but that's not the case. There are just as many users now as there were 2-3 months ago! That's a separate issue unto itself, regarding retention, but the point remains that nothing really seems to have changed to increase the load on the system. What is going on, BB? Is this major issue being worked on, or is everyone just crossing their fingers and hoping that the next set of games will go off smoothly?

Well I can't say much more than that we messed up the last few weeks. The amount of delays are unacceptable.

While we don't want to and shouldn't use this as an excuse, we are understaffed at the moment due to several holidays. So we ask for just a little bit of understanding here why we messed up that badly.

It appears the problem that caused the delays was about the same as the problems that caused the delays earlier. However we still didn't find the cause of the problem, so it's tough to fix it. This probably means the games will crash again next saturday, if we don't manage to find and solve that particular problem in the meantime.
