I'm glad I was able to watch the last quarter of our match live so I know it wasn't a true blowout, but one of those games within 3 late where you hit all the free throws and miss longer and longer 3 point heaves.... I hope to exact revenge on the flip side....

I'm glad that I pulled it out. Took a chance and didn't play Elmontas, saving him for the inside team I'm playing in the cup.. er tournament. Didn't help Robison fouled out after 24 or so minutes. But I have to 'let em play' so that my guards don't get pulled :/

Was a fun game to watch at the end though (I too saw the last quarter after working out)

And funny you should mention HT, because I am a defense trainer over there.

I've been tempted to go back. However, when I think of how long it took for me to get Div III, something like 4 RL years or something silly, I stay retired.

I'm due a qualifier to promote to III next week, and I've only been back a bit over 2.5 RL years.

Yes it does. One game a week, and for you bad teams, one cup week and bounce.

It's the one reason I considered going back actually, you don't have to pay much attention. That, and I've been tempted by the new sub system and YA that my friend was telling me about.

I, for one, despised the YA. Too much illusion of having control while it was still cryptic and random and required a PhD in BS to figure out wtf was going on. I re-quit right before the sub system, tho

Just as a FYI. We are ONLY 3 posts behind the NBBA Smack thread. Keep up the mindless/meaningless chatter mixed with strange insults and Disney references. GO TEAM D4!

im actually slugging it out and will have my 3rd straight season in d2 over there. i have the game pretty well figured out. i think the new match engine is a real challenge, as is the ya system (which is pretty mediocre), but the community there overall is much stronger

What the hell, you guys are slipping. We've made it two games into the season, and nobody has bothered to hypothesize who might win the league? For shame.

Favorites to win the Big 8:
Hoosiers, Jests*

Favorites to win the Great 8:
Hobos, Quakers

Finals:
Methinks Hobos finally wins the whole shebang.

Favorites to make impressive Tournament runs:
TF
SBCT
Riverdogs
PBS

Favorites to spend next season in III:
Contortionists
about 5 other teams

* - Dependent upon how many more games they drop while Amorrortu is injured, and what they do with the 50k twins

If I can win the Big 8 with 2 18 year olds in the rotation....I'd be shocked to say the least.
