Baker your type of humor is always so funny. I honestly wonder if people let your comments influence what they do. I know whenever i buy or sell and I see your comments i laugh my butt off and then try to do something to just dig at ya a little more. LOL.... well i am happy to see a bid on Vic for 400k. hoping that saturday night or Sunday AM i see that bid on the shot blocking rebouding paint protector Matti. Someone needs a true center to Anchor their team. I have a feeling he will get purchased also. boom 950k in my bank account. and rebuilding and training..... you'll know i am dangerous with money!

Yeah Tatti probably wont sell for a while. I have a certain number i am looking for to get out of him. It will help replacing him easy. I am confident that Joe can be a starter even at age 19 and next year at 20. But my other youngster Ramon is NOT ready. And a certain number for Tatti will give me just the leverage i need to get a solid replacement for him thats younger and probably cheaper.

The Palacios sale was a test the waters thing i put him at a price i thought he would NOT get its actually over his estimated sell value and got a bid right away. So its all good. Unexpected money threw another arena expansion on. and with a home game today should be able to have enough to get a good (not great) replacement thats younger. Vic was a key part of the run last season and the season before that. But this year his productivity is really down.

I dropped the price on Marco Tatti he's down to a very reasonable $475k. But in all honesty... you and I are on the same plan right now. I am barely going to make the playoffs if not i will happily take the 5th spot so i dont have to do a relegation series. If Marco sells (to you or anyone at that matter) i know i wont have enough to keep you out of the playoffs. But for the larger picture i know that i am not young enough overall to sustain so i need to move Marco, Pana, And Vic (Vic already being moved). The aging bench i am not concerned about .

I like Tatti but won't buy a big over 28. You are right 4th or 5th is ok with me too. I don't want to have to play a relegation series either.

Its funny because for the life of me i have always tried to figure out. Is the 4th spot in the playoffs really worth it or is the 5th spot no relegation better? Unless you think you can get an upset. If you are the 4th seed you have to pay player salaries and you only get HALF of what the home team brings in for that sold out playoff game. So if his arena isn't that big or priced right you can actually LOSE money being the 4th seed. If you are the 5th seed your players dont play a meaningful game so you dont have to pay salaries. So there are some mathematical situations where being the 5th seed in a year you dont believe you are going to make some upset playoff runs is better I believe.

I have not ever been the 5th seed in a situation where i had high player salaries but i would love to hear from someone on if they found that not paying salaries actually SAVED them more money than had they made the 1/2 income from being the 4th seed and having to fully pay player salaries. Anyone with that experience???
