I have to agree with you on this matter, BBs should have made another pool: Utopia vs normal countries, but I have to disagree with you about the final outcome of that pool. I have read this whole thread, and saw a lot of people who saying that they like second team idea no matter where it is gonna be build, also a lot of people who saying that they dont want foreigners in their country(I was one of them), or they would like Utopia only, and smaller number of people who were saying that Utopia is fail, and it isnt solving any problem(like you). So as I see this, BBs actually listened majority of players, and only the time can tell, who is right on this matter...

I totally agree with knecht on this. there should be a poll for utopia vs. second country. If the community votes for utopia than its fine, if they vote against it..so be it. :?

as long as there is no poll it is needles to discuss what the outcome could be. the reactions I read were more in favour of a second country but that is just a few people.

The course of the conversation in this thread, strongly indicates that it is very possible, people that were initially opposed to the second team implimentation in the first poll, would mainly vote for 99th country, instead of having second teams in their league.

That's a limited view don't you think.
Starting from a bases of only those who specified that they don't want teams in their league.

How can anyone argue that teams that come in after will stand any chance.
It's first come first serve and sadly you'll cut off all the buying in the future.

Could you be kind to explain why you think it's a limited view? My assumption is made on the basis of the previous 750 odd posts in this thread, prior to Marin stating the decision.
And all i concluded is that based on the posts, especially of the people that voted no in the original poll, is NOT a certainty at all, that the community would vote in favor of country choice instead of 99th country, for implimented second teams.

Had only the people that hypothetically voted yes for second team, have the right to choose between country choice and 99th country, in a second poll, that is a totally different matter. One i would agree that is very likely, Utopia came second best.
But that was not what was stated as the "right procedure"(nor would i agree with it), on which i commented.

Personally, i see knecht's point, we did end up voting on a totally different suggestion than the one chosen. Having said that, i can see that they went for the majority's (general)wish and im confident that they went through all the posts, studied them, categorised them and came up with the best possible solution, with regards to (at least) keeping less people unhappy.

Just to know... Do you take care about the tons of posts or you've already taken the decision for Utopia?

I am quite busy at work and on the verge of quitting this game for good, that why I did not participate in the discussion so far.

All those great steps the game has taken in the last few months have not turned the trend, which is still negative. I pointed out flaws in many parts of this game and sooner or later those were fixed or adjusted - so don't pretend all my input has been useless or pure negative critizisim.

Fact is, we need to strenghten the small nations, many users have ties to other countries and would like to start a team there. As english has become a global language the objections regarding foreigners flooding other countries (how many Japanese are playing in Japan anyway), is obsolete and utter nonsense.

You had no problems adding features in the past without asking the users (and you are selling those as huge success stories). So why not take resposibility, acknowledge the issues connected to second teams in real countries, and still do it the way it should be done.
