Well, now that Fanesi and the Latvian guy have hit the market recently and we have all gotten a chance to see them, the real question is this: at what point do we realize that we have a huge problem on our hands? In a couple of seasons (if they continue to receive training, but not training those guys would be moronic) they will have a salary of more than 500k. Does no-one else see the issue here? In 3 or 4 seasons we will be filled with players who absolutely nobody will want because their salary will be astronomical.

If people are worried then sell now before the market is flooded and the prices drop to below what it costs to pick up a triple sensational.....

Personally i cant wait!! Ive been waiting for someone to build me a replacement for Rusu... show me who you got!

You are missing my point. I'm not talking about the current owners being able to afford them. I'm talking about NO-ONE being able to afford them.

Actually, I'm glad you responded to my post because you are a godo example:
I would imagine that you are among the richer clubs in BB right? I won't ask you what your average income (Stadium + merchandise) is per week, but I assume it's pretty high. Now, would you consider buying one of those top-10 salary centers, knowing that their salary next year will be (in many cases) near or more than 200k per week, and that if you keep training them, it will be around 550/600k per week?

My point is this: if there is nobody that wants to buy them, who will the current owners sell to?
I doubt that even farm teams (like Fanesi's current one) will be able to manage them for more than the current season. Have you tried calculating what a salry of a center with 20-18-20 (for example) in the three main skills will be? These guys are not that far from those skills at all.

Do we want to have a situation in which nobody will want the best players in the world? What kind of sense does that make?

No I hear you and i think (subject to rule changes) my proposed purchase should have a maximum of $130-150k salary when i purchase. As many NT coaches have said (and only they would know right now) the performance boost is going to be negligble and the risk is you end up paying 50-100k more per week.

The other difficult factor is if you buy and try to train on outside skills (which I would do) then ID and IS will improve gradually with OD and JS training. I know the secondaries train slower but even over 2 seasons you could be talking a $50k salary rise if you trigger 2 secondary pops.

Exactly.
So if you aren't able to afford (or are not willing to afford) these 200k players now, you definitely won't want any of these guys come next year, and even worse, in the following seasons. And it you don't want them, who will?
Who is the richest team in BB? Tòròòò maybe? Will he want them? I don't know...and even if he will, he sure as hell won't want more than one..and where will the others end up?

I'm very curious to see who will end up buying the latvian dude..

Let me ask a question to the general public...is there ANYBODY out there who is willing to buy, now or in the near future, a 300k salary guy?

Boston, we have a problem.

Here's my take- What is the problem? If somebody creates Frankenballer, they should understand that he isn't gonna sell. Instead people could train all areas of their teams and wider ranges of skills per player. And perhaps this will be the leveller that everyone has been crying for- teams shouldn't be on top forever. If a team gets top heavy they should have to rebuild after a few years. Unfortunately I think most people don't have the desire to get good then fall and rebuild. They will most likely just quit, which is a shame. The celtics were great, then miserable, then great again, then miserable again, and now they are back near the top. Why shouldn't this happen in this game?

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
