Come on, they were talking about making the game more palatable for newcomers. I completely agree with them and I think something visual to help them understand what to look out for might help.

I've always been extremely critical about the way the game don't cater for new users and the seemingly lack of focus on user retention, you may say it's wishful thinking, but at least is something. Say you retain 1% more users: it's still positive and a step in the right direction in my opinion, because, numbers aside, it would show commitment to improvements in a key area.

Ty, is good too see we're in sync and other people see the issues as well. Hopefully the staff will listen and one day things will be easier for newcomers.

What I really love to see for us veterans and newcomers as well is an indicator, a number or something that tell us that a player is being trained and growing towards the next skill pop-up. Seeing our players growing towards the next pop up each week gives us a sense of progress that can be quite addicting and satisfying. Currently as it is, seeing our players popping up each 2-3 weeks is a bit saddening and increases the perception of slowness of the game.

I think that might have intentionally or unintentionally the purpose of that training history tool that was introduced during the last offseason.

I don't think they will ever give away sublevels, but what they could do is represent training which has not resulted in a pop in the bar chart which is already in the player page. In this chart the new pops are highlighted as new 'bricks' on top of the skill set as of the beginning of the season (in red the more recent and in purple the oldest), while skill drops are faded blue bricks. Maybe they could add a partial green brick for the main skills which have been trained, which fills up the closer you get to a pop. The green partial bricks should representing a value close to that of the sublevel (with some margin of error).

They would just need to rework that chart to make a bit larger and to prevent showing sublevels for untrained skills and for skill drops (assuming training affects skill drops). Since it's a chart and not a number it should be acceptable.

you got give credit where its due . clap clap clap to bb marin and his minions :D

You do realize that without BB-Marin that this game would cease to function, right? If he ever decides that he wants a new job BuzzerBeater will be in huge trouble. As for Perpete and the other "minions", those guys (and especially Perpete) have dedicated countless hours and effort into making this game as safe, fair and enjoyable as possible.

Currently as it is, seeing our players popping up each 2-3 weeks would be a miracle, dancing in the streets.
