It should be possible to switch off the avatars in the forums, even though they're cute, but they slow the forum pages down and may also turn NSFW. I've already seen avatar videos - this kind of stuff leads in the wrong direction, I know people who haven't stayed in Buzzerbeater because of too heavy visuals already in the old version (weird purists).

The avatars are the team logo found on the team page for Supporters.

These are strictly monitored.

Overall, I like alot of the changes, it will take time to relearn how to get places. Change isn't bad, just takes time to get used to.

Some thoughts I had:

First, I don't like how the Private League links to the Overview. I think instead it should link to your current, or most recent PL since for the most part that is the league you are gonna care about, would get rid of one more click you have to make right now.

Second, I always found the toolbar to be a bit repetitive with the long list, but I actually think the tool bar works alot better with the short list, especially if you make it customizable. So unless you are really against it, I'd say bring that back.

Third, a suggestion about the previewing players in current transfers section. Allow some sort of limited filter for what type of players to show up here. Possibly one or two skills over a certain mark, or certain age.

Fourth, in the drop down list on the team page, your stats are called season stats, but on the main page it is called team stats. Just think they should match since they link you to the same place.

Fifth, I think you might be better replacing the scrimmage section with a schedule section on the Manage My Team page, you only scrimmage once a week while you play a game 2+ times a week.(would make it easier to get to schedule page too)

He was one of the players that the BBs released into the market very early on (I think Season 1) as there were a dearth of players on the TL at the time.

Probably explains the balky line here.

BTW, Dirk still rulz

It's currently just based upon how much money you have in the bank - we look for a player in your price range whose auction ends soon. There are a lot of further things we've considered with this box, and we're open to suggestions.

Please make this toggle-able with a preference.

Where are the "Notable player events" found?

I find the combination of a "menu" and random things I mouse over that give more options to choose from very cognitively jarring and confusing. If there is going to be a mouse over drop down, put it on every page and in the same place.

I'm guessing the flag finder is not available until we can schedule scrimmages again.

Forum signatures - ugh. ugh. This absolutely must be able to be turned off in a preference.

I'll also echo "what the point of rating posts?"

I really like the new overview page.

Please can we add a fifth and/or sixth restriction to the transfer market search?

How about totaling and separating each type of game in the player history?

I like the new site guys. The ranking and the forum avatars are great ideas! I also like how I can see the rankings of all the players in the league.

Only thing that is missing is being able to see the ranking of all the teams in the country. Would be way easier to work out who's ahead of you :P

I was waiting for a comment from you ;) Good post. I agree on the schedule beeing a bit hard to read and "line tracing" to find the correct link becomes an issue + the conference colors could be toned down a bit. I think it could work like it is now if: Date/Time - Away Team - Home Team - Status. But I will not attend any more PL's as they keep drawing my attention away from the important matches, namely league and cup. Scrimmages is also just for the minutes and I would rather not have them in my schedule, since I can't set up more than one week at a time either way. I would love a preference to hide scrimmages (and PL) matches from the schedule.
-Llinks to leagues lower than div II is a must. I did not feel very included before I reached II... Also, it would be easier for senior teams to welcome teams that keep on playing, but can't seem to reach up into the warmth of the community and for scouting players from new teams. Edit: Oh, perhaps wishful thinking, but a list of the 3-5 latest teams with an option to view more, or just the 10 latest teams. *rubbing hands and drooling*
-Avatars and signatures as an option to turn off if you want would be best, since some like them and others don't. Personally I like to see and get a visual link between the team and the manager, but understand that this is a bombardment of impressions that could be imposing on some.
-In the news section I would love to have the option of viewing the latest news from other divisions by choice. I like to keep an eye on future opponents and fellow managers. My own country would suffice.
-Agree also on player skill summary position. Would make a magnificent feature even better.
-Some minor adjustments in making less clicks needed as mentioned by other users elsewhere in this thread.

Almost forgot: Since so many pages are available without having to log in I wonder if it interferes with the timeout function? I find myself timed out a lot while searching the Transfer List/Player Market and while browsing other BB things not directly related to my team.

To BB's: Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the new site

I don't quite get why the BBs are insisting on using the short menu or insisting on getting rid of the toolbar.

Why does it matter? Why is the short menu recommended and the long menu "Not Recommended"?

Can't see why it would matter to you guys..

BB-Charles stated that they want people to give it a try before condemning it (well, he didn't say the part with condemning, but you get the point).

I think it is because it is so easy to become slaves of habit, and they want effective feedback from a broad range of users: The ones that are prone to using the new menu, the ones that insist on the long menu and the ones that initially prefers the long meny but end up using the new version. I believe it is a matter of how to present the site to new teams. What the preset should be. You will probably get the option to choose the long menu as your preference once the site is officially released.

Edit:typo
