You started this thread saying that you are hard to deal with and that some people don't like you. I would say that is really far from the truth, as you have single handedly made this thread alot of fun.

Thanks.

beanerz I was never actually competing and I stated that in my first post here. I just like a good discussion and wanted to give some questions and answer some myself to make someone remember me in case I will ever be smart enough and have enough time to candidate myself. For now I still need to learn and test tactics before i will even consider that

Fair enough.

I was just shocked to see the list this morning only contains myself and Future NBA Hall of Famer. I mean there are a few others that have put their names on the list but since they have not ran any sort of campaign I suspect they will get minimal votes.

I didn't pull out of the race. I never intended on winning anyways, so it is no big deal, but the reason that my name was pulled out of the running is that it was reduced to the top 5 candidates (and people tied for 5th). I suspect that you got all the votes, minus people voting for themselves. Since I didn't vote for myself, I got 0 votes, as opposed to the 1 vote that all the others got, so I got eliminated. I guess I'm not a fan favourite around here lol.

Does anyone know if that truely is the case?? I did not realize it got narrowed to the top five, if so you should for sure be in it.

I did not vote for myself either so for whoever did thanks! That would have sucked :)

From Game Manual under "National Teams"

National team elections have two distinct phases. In the first phase, which lasts for four days, interested candidates can register for consideration for the managerial position. During this time, these candidates will start to receive votes from the country's users. After the fourth day, the election pool is reduced to the top five candidates, plus ties, plus those with at least 5% of the total number of votes.

Also, FWIW, I voted for you already beanerz. You are much more qualified than me, and I really don't want to be the NT coach anyways YET. Maybe one day when I learn the game more.

PS. you said in an earlier comment that we have to win 1 of the 2 tough games to advance. You do realize that you only need to come top 4 to advance past the first stage right? It kind of scares me that you didn't know that lol

I'll confess that I would have considered voting for HPP. Not because of his rep as a manager or past experience and exploits at the NT level, but because his self depreciating speech and promises I don't fully understand pulled me in. They always do. My vote wouldn't have been for him in any case this season.

I don't have much to debate if there are only 2 people still running that have posted here. I think Future NBA Hall of Famer should hold off for a term or two before he can more respectfully run for this.

It's hidden away in a carefully concealed thread called "Election Rules" pinned to the top of your forum ;)

At 6am CET three days before the end of the election, the election pool will be reduced to a second round containing the top five candidates, plus ties, plus those with at least 5% of the total number of votes. No new registrations will be allowed after this time.

It should not scare you as it was just poorly writen :)

I do understand that, but positioning of advancement is massive. Obviously a higher finish could mean an easier draw in the next round.

Zing!!

I am learning on the fly, what more can I say. I did read thru the Election rules, just never had that stick with me. Much like University I guess, I can honestly say I did ask their names, but for the life of me I can't remember many of them :)
