Was wondering the season 9 is around the corner.

So, will this GE being brought over? Since there's still so many concern on the rebounding behaviour.

I was watching the boxscore of last night Final NBA Orlando against Cleveland. Even though the game was an OT, but the rebounding number still being a reasonable numbers at around 35-40.

http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=290526019

Erm, just felt our BB rebounding a bit generous. Dunno if anybody felt the same..

cheers

Ben

Noticed during todays games that shots that were blocked are generally rebounded as if just a miss.

Shouldn't this be a regain or gain of possession rather than a rebound?

No, regained possession after a blocked shot is typically counted as a rebound in the NBA.

The only problem is that they're probably not supposed to reset the shot clock, since it's hard to hit the rim with a shot that gets blocked

Take a look at this: (12932980)...

By looking at my scrimmages I can foresee a quite unpredictable behaviour of the GE with reference to rebounding... the only prediction I think can be done is that there will be probably even more rebounds.

did you see an improvement in total number of blocks, the last games was very normal till below average in my team?

And even in the first one, with little higher amounts of blocks they was still on the guard positions.

Or did you tune also on salary or something like that on the blocking thing?

Did you change anything with coach orders, e.g. sfdc?

Last week my coach should have brought in at least two backups, because they were better skilled and in much much better game shape than the starters. (12862922)

Especially Berner (starter and backup, game shape 3) caused me some trouble, because he played the whole game and my reserve (Villavicencio, game shape 9 ) didn't get a single minute. Same happend with Redansky and his backup.

Coach order was "strictly follow depth chart".

I had a similar problem. A bit different but still, player minutes related. Here it goes:

My coach orders was "strictly follow depth chart" as well.
So, I had the main Shooting Guard and a substitute Shooting Guard. The main SG gets in foul trouble, coach replaces him (which is absolutely normal, since I gave him orders to do so). 3 fouls - replaced, which is normal. Now, here comes the problem... later in the 4th period where there were 5/6 minutes to play, with only 3 fouls... why is he not playing? He didn't play for the whole 4th period. Final minutes: main SG, 18; sub SG, 30. Here is the match ID. (12934483).

I hope this gets fixed in time.

When the 4th period started, you almost were 30 points ahead of the other team, that's the reason why 2 of your main players didn't play in the last period. If you had had more subtitutes, none of your main players would have played on the 4th period.

I chose "strictly follow the depth chart". So, that annuls the point of it. If I wanted the coach to be able to control the minutes played by the players, I would have given him that option. Doesn't matter if I'm winning by 1 or 50, if I chose "strictly follow the depth chart", I want it to be followed!
