Quick synopsis of what I’ve been seeing with the game engine, if you can just confirm.
1) All game outcomes are highly predicated by what the team ratings are. Team ratings are highly influenced by the PG and C with the other positions adding to them. In this scenario, it would seem OD, PA, ID, and REB should be covered by the PG and C positions with all other ratings being filled in by the SG,SF, and PF ?(based on the style of team you would like)
2) secondary to the team ratings are the individual matchups. These matchups can be boosted by the team ratings, so a guy whom may not be the best shooter may still shoot well if the team ratings are high for outside shooting.
3) If a high passing guard has low shooting, but overall the team shooting is high, will that high passing guard shoot better than if the team ratings were lower? (This piggybacks of #3, and is also just to verify what I am seeing with my own players).
4) Does a guy with high JR “open” the floor up for potentially more assists? I see high JR players repeatedly get more assists than low JR players.
5)One thing I’m noticing is that REB on guards may be more valuable than REB on bigs. By having similar rebounding skills on guards, I’m finding that the guards are actually getting just as much, or more, rebounds. I’m assuming this is because the GE sees a large disparity in rebounding between my guards and the opponents, and then the GE uses those disparities in the outcome of who gets the rebound after a shot?
Thanks guys!
