I spend them every year, but I first spend 10 points on Group demonstrations, and among those supposedly 1 and 2 star players there are always at least 6 or 7 5 star players. Then I scout those and I always get 1 or 2 useful prospects. If there are some leftover points, I scout 5 star prospects.

By doing this, right now I'm training 3 Hall of Fame potentials:

Since I'm not going to sell, I don't mind 19 YO rookies if the potential is right.

Excellent, thanks a lot. That's also my point of view, I'm more interested in potential than everything else.

For 3 seasons, I also look carefully to 19 yo, because they are already trained, and freely ;)
Homegrown needs first TIME, and 1 year saved + FT trained + Stamina trained (nutritionnist) is very good for us :)

I’m having a “good problem” in that I have too many useful players to train on my team, but clearly not enough training spots. I currently have a SS 21yo that is being groomed into a SF as well as a 21yo HOF. Since those two, I have drafted 2 really good MVP guard trainers that are 18yo and 19yo. Im really struggling right now with my own desires of continuing to train the SS and HOF vs switching gears for a few seasons to focus on the guards. The weakness areas for the SF trainees are OD/ID so it’s not like I can train the two guards as well because 1 would be left out. I suppose I could sell off one of the guards to work towards a $2million arena, but I’m not sold on that just yet.

Today I won the National cup for the first time as a homegrown team ;)

I wrote this at the beginning of the season:

I promoted to the first league again and this time I intend to stay!

I managed to secure the last PlayOff spot in my division, mostly because the team I played last game against tanked, but I won't complain. I managed to beat my main competitor "Ljute ptice" twice and that was the key. Now I will get demolished in PlayOff, but who cares! Let's go!

I managed to get into the playoffs for the 2nd season in a row. Unfortunately, we are 4th again even though we improved our win amount from 12 to 14. The season was a rollercoaster. We started very poorly by only winning 3 of the first 9 matches, but after that we went on an 11 win streak. And after that we lost the last 2 :D


We can still probably improve a bit from this, but because of Hupipalloilijat, WR1 and a B3 winner from few years ago, keeps dominating the domestic competitions for probably 4-5 seasons to come, I doubt we can realistically aim for any trophies during that time, but maybe if we can figure out a plan to train new bigs, our window of opportunity might arise after that. The guards still have around 7-9 seasons in them, but they still need some training which makes it complicated. We'll see...


Ps. Our long time center Sami Paakkinen did become the all time leader of Finnish NT rebounds as well as 3rd all time in games played. He's only 21 games away from the 1st place so maybe there's a chance for that as well, since he still is at least on the bench in every game. I would imagine that at this point he's one of the all time best players coming from a homegrown team! Hopefully he can still last a season or two before the serious decline of the skills starts. Only two drops so far so fingers crossed this will keep up.
