Yeah, I've been playing around trying to manage minutes with different coaching strategies in an attempt to figure some stuff out.

I'm not really sold on my roster at all (only one or two guys really worth training), so I'm just approaching this season trying to build the arena and get my future role players to be solid for me next season. I wonder if at this point I would just be better off going with a small roster each game and playing each guy the full game, then rotating them out so they only play once a week?

The other big goal is getting enough funds to purchase a high quality prospect, but that will take some saving.

You can play 6 different guys 48 minutes
they'll be worth more to your team and more on the market trained
plus its fun to see all the pops each week
to improve game shape they just need to back up another position once
you would start only 8 players a game

Nope but we can start one. Honestly with the changes coming I know this is a common discussion in a lot of the federations.

Training this week was free throws. One of the pops I got was for an injured player that only got off the IR Friday Morning, and had zero minutes. Any idea how this is possible?

Free throw and stamina both train the entire team regardless of injuies or minutes played.

Most people only train these skills when a key player is hurt or during weeks where the team only has two games.

I only had 2 games, didn't train game shape, had like 4 players under 48 minutes and somehow ended up with pretty good game shape... Not sure why.

Ah, that makes sense, thanks.

(I also only had 2 games and multiple injuries)

Never question good game shape, be thankful. I have had ideal minutes all season and certain players are barely strong.

GS does what GS wants.

Partially blank lineups.

In a season where I'm mostly just training and not expecting to progress, I was wondering what the negatives would be to setting my trainee in position and Strictly Follow Depth Chart with the rest of the lineup blank?

Assuming I leave about 8 other players on the active roster, the only thing I'd have to worry about is making sure not to overplay players by the end of the week right?

I might be missing something . Never tried a lineup without a position filled before.
