I was assuming without knowing that you would model capping in a different way. If you come to the same conclusions, that would be reassuring. Especially, if there is not a lot of data (or data with limited heterogeneity).

I'm trying work out whether my Star potential Guard has capped. He has 81 skills including an 11,12 & 13 among guard skills.

Would that suggest he has capped and the data be sent to you?
He's dropping out of the training rotation anyway, so let me know whether you think you can use the data.

First: thanks for getting in touch with me.

Now, in terms of your question, I really don't know. The only way I can for sure know if players have capped is by looking at their training history, age and height and making a guess (ie: 5 weeks inside shot training for a 21 year old, 7 foot player without a pop means he is capped).

I've got a star potential guard with 90 skills (didn't count stamina and free throws). Guard skills are 1x9, 2x11, 2x12, 1x13. In my eyes he has developed yet pretty much with the same speed than my perennial allstar potential guard who pretty much has the same skill set.

I have no real data, just my impression through what I remember about their training and development.

If I picked the right player, your guy is also already somewhat old... IIRC I have now trained my (23yo) guard once in OD after popping to tremendous. Will probably get another two or three OD training sessions pretty soon. Will let you know if he shows some signs of popping.

he's 25, but the 26 year old HoF has popped on the same plan.
