I didn`t read the whole thread. I have one question. When does the playoffs start? I want to know should I play with my second team today in the last match, so I can play with my first in the playoffs. Or do qualification matches start next weekend? Thanks!

Yes - this weekend is the last regular game and after this the schedule will be drawn up for the playoffs starting Tues. Scrimmage as normal on thurs then new game week will have continuation of playoffs until you are successful or knocked out!

I see. It's true. I wish they'd reset enthusiasm for playoffs...

Why?

Let's review. You chose a strategy that was probably sub-optimal as far as winning the playoffs is concerned, then complained and requested that the whole system was changed. I am sorry, but this makes very little sense to me.

As I might have mentioned before, this is in essence a strategy game. A game of trade-offs. You have to give something to get something. You decided that being #2 in the regular season was more important for you, but that was your own choice. You can't have it all, you know.

So, enlighten me. What do u do? tie your way to playoffs? finishing on 3rd, 4th.... i was fighting for 1st place. what you're saying doesn't make sense. this is a competitive game, so obviously we all go for 1st place. or so i thought...

Edit: By looking @ your opponents, it wasn't to hard to tie your way up to 1st place. But do not judge everything solely on your league's performance.

You were fighting for first place, and it's good for you. I am just pointing out that if you want to put yourself in the best position for winning in the playoffs, maybe it isn't necessarily to try to win every single regular season game. It's a completely reasonable conjecture.

Don't pile on me for the fact that you didn't have a complete strategy for everything that you're doing between the first day of the regular season and the last day of the playoffs. I don't manage your team.

That is true. I have never thought that enthusiasm can play such an important role. I'll certainly think it over next season. No hard feelings?

No hard feelings at all. I got a bit carried away, and I apologize.

But in general, I don't see how one can have a successful season without asking themselves some questions on Day. Such as:

How much stronger/weaker than me are my opponents?
Based on this, how much enthusiasm do I need going into the playoffs? How far down the standings can I allow to slide?

You probably won't have a perfect picture from the get-go, but you'll at least have a plan.

With me, the answers were somewhat obvious this season, which made it extremely boring
