The bad performance of the season
H. Betschart (Waikiki-Beach) (0 Points, 1 Rebounds, 0 Assists, 1 Steals, 0 Block Shots) : Efficiency : -14

"Ass-kick" for next saison for Betschart ...

Man ist erst besiegt, wenn man sich geschlagen gibt!

I have been re-reading about your defence and shot block theories lately (without much success); let's see if I can get it right next time.

It takes a lot of training or luck to find the right players. Take my Poom. He is cheap and almost every manager would sort him out. But for my team, he is important. Rebounds, Blocks and Assists. He plays kind of a Point Center role in my team.

At my german team, I have a new little experiment. I'm building a PA 15 Center. A better version of my Sutherland (two seasons ago nr. 1 in Blocks worldwide). And this boy will be a real Point Center.
It's a lot of try and fail. With Haek, I have the best defender BB ever saw. But he needs more stamina to maximize his defense. It took me several seasons to find out, what stamina really does and how it influences the skills.
Even now, Ettig is nothing more than an experiment ;) I had an idea how a player should look like for almost every offense in BB. Backed it up with stuff I already knew from BB-posts and own experience and started building him. Next season he will be finished. A pot 6 with ~105 skill points. A solid bank player for the next 10 seasons

It's just funny I was able to get to the top league in Spain and at the same time realize I know so little about the game.
I give you and the people like you a lot of credit for trying a different way and wish you a lot of success (but not this Tuesday) because it's very difficult to find players with the build you want in the transfer market and training your own is so slow. I reckon I never thought about SB as an important skill; first no one trained SB; second you have to trade SB for Rb, IS or ID; third I used to think SB was bad defence, lack of fundamentals in real basketball.

My pot 6 player in my main team has 110 tsp (Machala) and sadly SB is not one of his strenghts. This kind of player is the proof of how many bad trained players there are out there, because they are better than 90% and needed for almost every team.

(Stamina, now you got me thinking how much really affects the game...)

If you would know, you will be frightenend

Every offense and defense has a different influence on the skills. Stamina is the key to hold the skills high. Defense takes more from your players than offense. So as a result a defense specialist needs a higher stamina than a offensive player...

Now I have too many things I want to try. I think I'll need another Utopia team... :)

Congrats.
Ettig's supporting cast was too weak today. 7 min before the end, I thought my team could make it. But the difference staid at 7- till -10 and than it was over.

But I saw again, that my idea of an scorer is right and that I have to train more such players. 3 Ettigs and 2 inside defenders with high SB...

Thank you.
I couldn't watch to the last minutes of the game (cooking dinner), but it was as close as I expected, wrong prediction and all taken into consideration. Definitively, your offensive game is fine. And for the wages you pay, your performance is so great. (y)

Congrats! Although a bit disappointing for me. Good luck for the finals!
