Both teams made poor defensive choices.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Maybe you can explain why a center which have 11 in rebound only has 6 rebounds against 1 center which is 7 in rebounds and has 10 rebounds and 4 offensive.

And im defending man to man and im playing normal.

No reason.

1.I don't need defense agains teams like this if I can make 150points and grab 70 rebouds.

70k center against a 15k center

Also, Look Inside vs 3-2 zone. You should have kicked his butt like that, i don't see anything wrong.

I did notice that all of the matches from the first round seemed to score a lot more than normal but as it's the first round i'm happy to let a few more rounds go by and the proper game shape kick in before i start wondering what is going on ;)

We think this is better than having teams have to invest lots of money in big arenas to make big revenue when they are in large divisions, as building big arenas takes too much time and so would make it harder for teams to compete when they promote.

It makes me sad to read this actually.

fighting your way up through the leagues can happen in 2 ways.
Either you invest all your money in players and go up as fast as possible, just to realise at a certain time that you 'forgot' the game has other attributes and features, which you HAD to take in mind. You will find yourself in a situation where you can not hold your position any longer and will go down again.
OR you can manage your team in it's entirety, building up slowly and steadily, doing everything needed to ensure stable and dureable growth, which include making sure your arena is big enough before you promote so you can keep making profit and are not using up savings to stay in the higher league.

I, and I hope I'm not the only one, think games like this are ment to be played the second way.

From what I read in the quote, it doesn't seem to be needed to plan ahead, just put all your money in your players, and BB will make sure you get enough money to be able to pay for it all. No need to worry about arenasize. No need to plan ahead. Every team will get income depending on his expenses, so nobody will be able to make a big diffrence due to smart thinking or planning ahead.

I will be honest here. I might be selfish on this one. Yes I am simply waiting for most other Belgian teams to meet their fate. For a few seasons now I am seeing teams build and buy players with wages double of mine, and more, yet their arena is still prety small. Soon they will have to sell their players, or see their economies dropping fast. I was kind of waiting for that time, since I didn't put my money in expensive players, but I made sure I have enough income all the time.
Now, with the new measurement, the teams who (either unknowingly, or uncaringly) spend too much money, and would soon have to pay the price for that, will be saved and can continue doing what they where doing.

Furthermore, anyone else doesn't need a solid plan anymore either. The ones being able to make the best deals on the TL, will be the teams of the future. Not everyone visits the TL very often, some users like to play the game without having to spend 1 hour dayly on the TL, those users can only be succesfull if they make long term plans. By eliminating the diffrence one can make by arenas, only the best TL-users will be able to be succesfull.

So Forrest, you are right. Arena expansion does take a long time. But that is what manager games are about. Planning ahead and making sure you do the things that take time long enough ahead.
If the time is realy the problem, you could also just have halved the building time or something similar.
Scouting also takes a lot of time. It takes 14 weeks to gather info, yet every manager spends a certain amount weekly on scouting, to get the info. Just the same way, every manager can spend some cash weekly too, to increase their arena, no?
So I don't think time is the real reason. The way I see it, you just are eliminating the diffrence managers can make by planning, and sacrificing ahead. And are working to keep all teams more equal, no matter how they spend their money, as long as most of it goes in the TL.

I will not sell my arena however. I realy don't care if I sell out or not. If I did I stopped expanding a while ago already.
Last season I made a press-release about freeing 2M for an expansion of my arena which goes on deep into season 10. A big and long-term project. I am planning on finishing that project, no matter what. Because that is what makes this game fun. The longer a project takes to finish (and the more money it costs) the bigger is the satisfaction after finishing it. I just hope it will stay possible to stay competitive that wa

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

I guess with new engine the ball never goes out of bounds just bounce into the air and waits for someone to rebound it even a guy with rebounding at 1 when his man doesn't look.

From my tonight observations it looks like paint expanded beyond 3pt line. Or Look Inside means just looking not going there.

Thank you for this great post. You hit the nail right on the head. All the thinks you metioned came in my mind when I first read about these changes and I am happy that there are more people in BB who think in the same way. And since I am not able to write it any better I just sign the post as a whole. I think there could have been found other solutions to the problem (bigger and bigger arenas), which wouldnt have thrown over the long term strategies.
