i see no way to thrive at these higher levels initially. i hit div. 3 last season and consider an accomplishment to be there again this year. i figure i am (if lucky, plus good) 4,5 or 6 seasons away from moving on up. the complication for me is that i am not competing against a static target -- everybody else is training, hitting the TL, using sophisticated tactics, analyzing schedules -- david byrne once presented an image of highway travel: you are not going 65, because everyone else is going 65 -- you are going 3 or 4 mph faster than you competition (you hope) -- "the speed of business", he called it.
