I am above the 500k and there is plenty of space to get more money - but I think that 600-650k is the maximum for a DIVII, maybe an Italian could tell us more.

You make about 290k from your arena. 112k from tv contract. That is 400k.
Are you saying you earn over 100k in merchandising??

Total: $ 503 491

And that's with crappy attendance in my last league game. $500k is not the cap.

I was talking about Australian div 2. Not all div 2. You get a higher cap due to higher tv contract and possibly higher merchandising as well.

merchandise depends on the structure of the team, not by their nationality. If you have a team full of strong australian players and of national players of medium-big countrie, you can have an higher merchandise than a big country team.

Teams in american div 2 (as far as I know) are stronger than teams in Australian div 2. Higher quality players means higher merchandise right? So, assuming a similar number of local players, american div 2 has a higher merchandise on average than Australian div 2.

No,that is Tv contract

From the rules:
Merchandising income comes from your fans buying team apparel. Jersey sales are affected by a combination of factors. One factor is whether you have a winning team. Nobody likes to wear the jersey when you're losing, do they? Other factors include how many domestic players you have on your team, and also how many were drafted by your own team, as fans like supporting local players more than imported talent. This is weighted by the overall skill of the local players, so stocking your team with local bench warmers won't do you much good. Similarly, fans from around the country are particularly enthusiastic supporters of members of their national teams, and even more so when their national team is a successful one. So, if in a given week your player played in a national team game, fans from around the country will buy their jersey, typically in a quantity proportional to their salary. National team jersey sales will vary depending on the strength of the national team, but players playing in their domestic league tend to sell considerably more national team merchandise. Finally, fans from around the league tend to notice the league leaders, particularly in important categories such as points, rebounds, and assists but to some extent in all categories. If your team has players among the league leaders, you will see a bump in jersey sales from fans of other teams in your league, with an additional bump for the most eye-popping numbers in your country or in all of BuzzerBeater.

There are a lot of factors that counts in merchandising, and the fact of being in a stronger country and in a more competitive league make difficult to have some of this factors, and make easier to have others factors

And the TV contract is loosely based on the strength of the players on the teams in the league (I can't find anything in the Manual on this, so I'm just going off my recollection here). But you control your own merchandising revenue, to a fair extent. And your arena revenue.

imho in it is the opposite, when i am looking for new players i nearly always find intresting german player on the TL - i didn't try this with one from Malta but i am pretty sure it is nearly impossible to find a local player who fits your desired - because a competive league mostly have weaker leagues under it who create player for the stronger leagues.

PS: you also only play against teams of your own country, so it is equal for the competition where it is easier becaus nobody gets an advantage over another player.
