I'm doing the exact same thing you do about training. The problem you have occurs quite often with so many players at the game. I've figured out that taking only 7 players to a game seems to be the perfect deal. That means one as reserve and backup for SG/SF and one for PF/C. I haven't had any problems with this tactic yet.

9 players was your problem. Any more than 8 on your active roster and your coach goes crazy.

What am I supposed to be looking at here?

Anyways, first, your PG played 48 minutes, so it seems like it worked. Second, you have 9 players on your active roster, which doesn't disprove anything I said.

Well I've always done one position training with 9 players and I never had a problem like this.
I'll just conclude that the coach went mad and somehow subbed him out...and train JS for this week instead.

Well, there you go. That's the reason. It won't happen often (such as not in a close game), but if you're blowing the other team out you can only have 8 on your active roster, otherwise you could see your SBR guy miss the entire 4th quarter.
