Right for both. Altough one week of Stamina per season is a good IMHO.

That would depend on where his players stamina are at right now wouldn't it? Once he gets them up to a decent level (respectable?), I would agree that once a season is enough.

Thanks very much for the tips. I'm just getting familiar with this game and figuring out the roster is the next big thing.

Dropping back a level sounds pretty bad but I don't see competing for anything significant for a couple of seasons, so I guess it isn't so bad. I like the idea of another full week of training. This could work out ok.

I don't think you'll necessarily move leagues if you end up losing the relegation series. I joined at the end of last season, was "awarded" the 8th place team, which should automatically relegate. But I didn't.

As for trimming your roster and training, there are three good guidelines to remember:
One, a player trains most effectively between ages 18-22, though training later can still be effective.
Two, the player's potential doesn't speed their training at all, just what their maximal abilities can reach. And for players that will be effective in the lower US divisions, even starter, star and allstar will be sufficient.
Three, players can start to see their skills decline around age 32.

Given that, your purchase of Mezzogori looks ok, especially if he has been trained up to this point in the season (and depending on his skill breakdowns).Your guard Soon however is a bit old to train, so will never bump up on his HOF potential. But you didn't spend much on him, so no big deal.

Now you just have to decide whether you want to try and train guards or big men. It's very hard to train both in the same season effectively, so most people focus on one group, and then purchase the others. Maybe the draft results will decide it for you though.

[Edit - Actually, sorry I forgot that Jimmy Delatorre is definitely worth training, so I'd keep focusing on him for the rest of the season, and prioritize shorter, guard type prospects for the draft]

Hope that's at least a bit helpful!

I'm pretty sure you won't drop down a level, I could be wrong but I don't believe that D VI is active in your country.

This is incredible. I am really grateful for you guys taking the time to help like this. What a great community.

Yeah, I realized a little too late that Soon was a bit old for complete training, so I'm just looking for some solid play from him or any point guard and look for something in the draft. If I can get solid from him while I train a youngster I guess I'll be happy. It's just painful watching these guys I have now even try to bring the ball upcourt.

Really, you guys don't know how much I appreciate the insight.

I would cut your roster down to at least 14 players. IMO 12/13 would be best. You will not be making the playoffs and therefore don't need 18 players to play in two scrimmage games a week. It will also increase your weekly profit.

...What a great community....

I've played just about every online sports manager game, and one aspect where BB stands head and shoulders over the rest is the quality of the community. Frankly, it's not even close really.

I would also suggest you cut your roster down to 15 players. IMO 12/13 players is best. You can get more weekly profit by cutting or selling some of your scrubs.
