This game is a lot about luck and little things decide which team wins the championship. Just like Dallas had great run (in 2011), with everyone clicking and peaking at the right time.

I do agree, that there should be an option to sit the starters or let them play in blowout (there could also be an option for big losses). I think most of the older teams, tend to still sit their best players. Often the great players tend to play 40+ minutes in close games. That creates GS problems, even with 2 games a week. You will also turn to the sit them option, when your first late blowout starter injury occures (and sticks).

I think when you actually get out of that IVdiv, there will be less teams going bot or new users joining the league during season. I myself had a bad schedule this season, that has killed my championship hopes. 2 teams from the other side decided to quit (for different reasons), that left me with low attendance easy home games, while all my rivals had them away. With chances to snatch wins from playing active managers at home. I also had my first true rival game away, leaving me with 1 ball in rival survey until the last game of the season. You just have to play with the cards you have been dealt and make the best out of it.

Couldn't we just add an option that says, "compete for PD"? That would allow either team, in case of a thrashing, the option of sitting their starters.

..or, even better, have the point margin to which the starters would be subbed in or out.

Sorry i totally disagree with this suggestion, mainly because there is something you can already do in the game to achieve this.

If im 17-2 and I know that PD is going to make a difference come playoff time and im coming into a round against a team who is 8th whom i know im going to smash, then what do i do? I set my starters as my bench/reserve, or I set two/three positions with no bench players and only dress 7/8 guys, depending on the situation.
That way come garbage time, the starters do stay in. And i rout the other team by 50 points. :) done this plenty of times in the past and its great. My best shooter keeps scoring points, keeps in the top10 for scoring in the league, i rout the other team, get a nice percentage boost, tra la la la la la oh happy days.
This is a genuine tactical situation in the game, which requires users to make tactical choices, to analyse the game before hand, understand their opponent, situation, and set a lineup accordingly, just like when you are trying to work out whether you should play ur SF at PF in order to combat another teams inside D presence, or whatever.

And yes i know the guys who play 48 mins, it means it will make it harder to manage GS for that week and i know one day that guy who is finishing 8th is going to CT you and you will suddenly lose, this is all part of the game and taking away tactical choices which we learn as we progress in experience in this game is not right as far as im concerned.

So - want ur startes to play more minutes ina game where Garbage time is going to take effect? Then do the above lineup setting. No need for BB to make a new option/button/tactic.

It's a solution I A. Already knew about and how to do that and B. Think is a terrible solution. I feel you lack the knowledge to comprehend what i am trying to point out. I realize I CAN do that if needed (although now i do not have to for my league situation) but it is unrealistic. If the Lakers are winning by 40 points at the end of the season they are going to play Kobe Bryant in garbage time just so they win by a larger margin. Nor will the other team leave all 5 starters in when they know the game is lost. I feel you also fail to realize that many new managers get stuck in an IV. league in America and constantly get crushed by 30+ points per game and it only gets worse for them because the coach leaves the starters in every game for 40+ minutes a game causing terrible game shape and even bigger losses, which in my opinion helps contribute to a good number of managers that lose interest in this game. If this were to be fixed it would be more like actual basketball and less amount of managers would quit in their first season because they get crushed every single game. I also have a question for you. Say the team that is getting crushed by 30 points know that they are going to lose so before the game they set their lineup so that their backups would play the rest of the game when it gets out of hand.. what are they suppose to do?.. because they can't control that their coach leaves the starters in for the whole game. Do you have a genius solution for that as well? Because i would love to hear it.

P.S. don't say "just put the backups in the starting lineup so that they will get all the minutes" because i have only one word to describe that: Unrealistic.

did that change anything? Imho no, it hurts more the PD since bench player still play less then starters, and i sometimes have the feeling that the game cool down a bit in garbage time.

this might work, if you have really abd backups, else it hurts you before through misssing subs. Even when you do it already quite frequently for training.

Playing your starter in fourth quarter with ok substitutions works with blank lineup and let coach decide.

imho training is the thing not to change it as a tactical choiche, since else training 48 minutes get even easier when the gt sub don't come in. Also the other team face the same problem on substition problem too, so it just makes the bench more important for PD then without it but it is still fair.

I just gave you a work around, no need to get all snotty. I gave you a solution, its a choice for you and all new managers to use it.
Game shape management isnt just isolated to the poor div IV users who are getting crushed every week, happens to everyone, GS management is part of the game, it doesnt get any easier the higher you get, and fact is, is that there are lots and lots of managers in this game who can use the existing game mechanisms to get around the problem that you describe, whether you think its realistic or not, because what is realistic, is 100% debatable and opinion-based.

If you dont want to use the solutions already present in the game that all other successful managers are able to use, thats up you, doesnt bother me, was jsut trying to help.

PS: unrealistic? pretty sure i remember Utah setting some bench players 2 seasons ago as starters for the last 5 games of the year, because they were out of finals contention and wanted to give them experience. Sounds like that suggestion doesnt it!

the second option is better anyways. mix it up. but yes as you said, trying to incorporate 48 mins of training in there as well makes it quite tricky!

That's because Utah has sucked it up since Deron Williams left them and their pitiful franchise and Utah was trying to find some younger players to fill larger roles for the future seasons. NOT for the fact to manage game shape or crush teams because they felt that those players were better, which is the topic at discussion (Infact i don't even know why you used that example)... Even the people with the simplest of minds can gather that the Utah example and the situation with Buzzerbeater are completely different. I do use that solution by the way because it is the best way to do it right now but in MY personal opinion it could be improved greatly thus why i posted it in the suggestion thread. As you said it is 100% debatable so you can agree to disagree but this situation is nothing like the NBA and anyone with eyes can agree with me.

And what part of this game is realistic? You can suit up three guys, your staff get weekly raises, you can only improve a few players in a few facets of the game once per week, every team in the country gets to play in a huge tournament, your fans stay away in droves if you lose by 1 on the road in your previous game, even if it is your first loss of the season, you can get a rebound, go the length of the floor and make a layup with one second left on the clock, you can tell your players to take it easy collectively, the very best players will be either the very tallest or the very shortest, there are more games played every Tuesday an Saturday than in the entire history of the NBA, there are no trades only buying and selling players, who have no say in their free agency by the way, you cannot switch up your tactics, you can only draft people from your own country, there is no minimum or maximum roster size nor is there a salary cap, your players performance is dependent on playing the right amount of minutes, which precludes them from playing standard minutes three times a week, and the majority of the Nigerian NT are white guys.

w0w really? why do mexicans have white guys? why do eruopeans NTs have black guys? reall, there are a lot of other NTs that do this, the only fair one is USA.


I'd say change the games of the week, like this:

Sunday: Games! (as in usual NBA)
Monday: Finace update (as usual) and BBB
Tuesday: Scrimmages
Wednesday: TRaining and PLs
Thursdays: Games!
Friday: NT Matches
Saturday: Mantence

we can do the draft by random gruops of players in it. like let's say this years III.14 Mexico draft has 5 americans, 4 mexicans, 3 of these countries: south africa, jamacia, canada, china, india, spain, france, italy, germany, nicaragua (it idn't that badhaving non-BB countries give some country players a chance) and sweden. then 2 of these countries: sudan, malta, japan, russia. then 1 of these countries....nigeria, koreas, australia, and guatemala round it out. of course do the usual potential.

then for training hi jack Basketsim and train bigs and guards. 2 players from each gruop can train max. for easy training (like BB, then you cann 6 people training.) Bigs these skills: IS, ID, REB, SB. and guards: DR, HA, PA, OD, JS, JR. Stamina and FT are both auto in there. any other suggestions on how to make the game better?


yes the new training regimen would be much more fun than this one.....

ok well ill leave the petty name calling to you. the fact that you have to do this simply proves you are unable to show myself and the rest of the BB community any good reasoning or justification for your suggestion.
