Frankly I don't really like this idea. The one thing I really like about this game is that you can find your own way, that's part of the fun. If you want to buy a 250k guy when you start up, you can do that. If you want to spend it on your arena, you can do that. Of course, one of these plans is better than the other, but I like that you can do both if you'd like. I know that some people probably disagree with that, but that's just my two cents.

I think it's a very good suggestion.
It needs some tuneups but basically it make sense in my mind at least.

The only things that needs some tune up are:

1) How long will it be until a newbie will be able to do what ever he wants - You suggested 2 month, I can't really say if it's to much or not but it might need to have more thought into it.

2) What's the limit salary possible for newbie - It can't be a permanent number as I see it. it should be a number related to T.V contract / Salary floor. (As managers suggested before)

That is an interesting idea. Not a salary cap but an individual cap. I think this should be a limit on buying not keeping because we don't want people to have to get rid of their trainee. Worthy of exploration.

I strongly disagree with this kind of rules from a philosophical general point of view.

Let people make mistakes.
Fire burns and there is no better way to learn it than to experience it.
Okay, okay, it's much too dangerous so rules can be made to prevent these particular cases :)
But bidding on monsters is harmless.

Making mistakes is part of the process of learning.
I hate with passion rules set up under the pretense of protecting me. Leave me alone.
If I make bad mistakes, I badly need to learn. Don't take this away from me.

Cheers,
Have fun !
