ppl are just bad at math 2-3-4 place are making more money
income next season income this season
PO game 2-3 50-50 ----PO game 2-3 66-33
PO game 1-4 50-50---- PO game 66-33

semi finle 1-2 50-50----Semi Finle 50-50

1 place 100%----------first place 133%
2 place 100%----------second place 100% (get even more now if the first team have better income)
3 place 50%----------3 place 33%
4 place 50%-----------4 place 33%

so to sum it up the only team who lose money from this is 1 place team and i feel fine with it

My understanding is that the 50/50 split is only for round 1
2/3 and 1/3 attendance will then return
also:
Salary payment changes are also only for playoffs week 1

well then that means, it should be like this:

income next season income this season
PO game 2-3 50-50 ----PO game 2-3 66-33
PO game 1-4 50-50---- PO game 66-33

semi finle 1-2 66-33----Semi Finle 66-33

1 place 116%----------first place 133%
2 place 83%----------second place 100%
3 place 50%----------3 place 33%
4 place 50%-----------4 place 33%

right? thats a 17% decrease for both seeds 1 and 2, then given to 3 and 4. not sure if about that.

I can understand that the change is somewhat surprising, but they do not lose that lot of money and they still get the HCA.

I respectfully disagree. There is very little incentive to be successful in the regular season now. I think the top teams will be hit hard with this. Those "lost" 17% are the equivalent of at least 350k for the best placed team in the division 1 leagues during the regular season. That IS a lot of money with the current BB economy. I'm afraid this will alienate a lot of the best teams and will result in a lot of "tanking" among the contenders meaning they will not field their best teams more often than not for various reasons. Not to mention they might be forced to field teams with lower salaries than the ones they were able to afford before.

Now if there were prices for the best placed teams in the playoffs this may have worked but this way it's a fix for the 4th place problem at the expense of destroying any financial incentive teams had for having good regular season records.

Well now I am confused
my interpretation of round 1 is 1 game (that's it for 50/50)
the semi final in my estimation would be round 2 and thus 2/3 home team for that
I'm sure this will be cleared up soon
kinda muddy right now

Where do you take the info from that the change only affects round one?

In addition, as an incentive for third and fourth place teams, playoff attendance revenue will be split 50-50 between the two teams instead of 67-33 in favor of the home team.

they do not talk here abut only the first round they are talking abut the all PO or so i understand and therefor the only team who get it in this is the 1 ranked team and as i say it before i am fine with it

Isn't that a bit extreme ?

How much is 17% of at least 350k compared to your annual team's salaries ?
Can you roughly estimate it please ?

a top D I team make abut 600 a game now 2/3 is 400 and 1/2 is 300 you are talking abut a 200k loss overall from the playoffs for a first place and even less if you are not a top 50 team in the world
